Trowa's ending

The water felt good on his sun-burnt skin and his delicate hands brushed back the hair in his eyes.

By the time the sun sets it would have been a hundred years.

A hundred years since he last saw those green eyes.

A hundred years he has worn this human skin.

Maybe tomorrow he would die.

He felt soft fingers trace the long scars that lined his back, the patterns reminding him of a life he once led.

"Beautiful aren't they?" he asked not turning around, he had grown used to the stares and it did not matter anymore. "You will never see these kind of scars in your lifetime again."

"I hope not." his eyes widened and the turned around, his hair getting caught in everything. He looked at his face, disbelieving.

"How?"

"His own obsession killed him or rather his mage's. Dragons are peculiar beasts, they are jealous and possessive, and I have grown tired of them."

"You are mortal." Was all he could say, the once tall elf was no more than a few inches taller than him now, a sign that he had lost his long life.

"I forfeited my immortality to find you." his eyes seemed tired but greener than he remembered them to be. "Forever is an eternity without you."
