| Shuree came to NC from Washington State (Oregon). She moved here to NC to be closer to family. Shuree started her music business in 1993, & was blessed to become very successful, (all credit given to God above)! While residing in Washington (1993-1999), She worked many jobs, one as a Christian counselor at a shelter for abused women and children. Prior to that job she worked at a clinic where she also specialized in Drug & alcohol counseling through her school teachings & while attending College (work study Grant). Shuree's College studies were in psychology, music, art, and theatre. The College approved her for a work study grant, where she learned to teach health and fitness working in weight lifting & aerobic training (Shuree is now a health and fitness instructer in NC working part time, studying other various programs; certifications in fitness & personal training, etc. ). While attending College, Shuree worked 3 jobs to put her way through school; cleaning houses full time (4yrs), working as a TV hostess for a local TV Station where she's been "in" over 300 television commercials, & working for a local music recording studio where she learned to mix and record sound for (3yrs). The last 2 years before moving to NC, Shuree was blessed to work for specific women in which she was a personal housecleaner, caretaker, etc. & learned many trades ; painting homes (indoor) along with misc. jobs. What fun! During all this time, she still managed to continue hosting shows for weddings and other special events. Shuree is a Christian and attended the Lords table Church in Goldsboro (great Church, great preacher) North Carolina for 2-3 years, and now attends the Princeton Church of God on hwy 70. "Princeton Church is one of the warmest churches I've ever attended. The Pastor, is humble, kind, speaks to "everyone" without pressure or judgement, and he truly loves the Lord.(All are welcome). Come see me sometime. I'm new, and don't know anyone, but never have I attended a church where the Pastor reached out to me through Gods love". Shuree worked for 7 consecutive years singing, playing music, and providing Karaoke when in Washington area. She worked hard, there were times she hosted for many years up to 25 shows per week! Though the last two years, she took a break (by choice), and slowed down only hostng weddings, corporates, & on the weekends, while working her house cleaning & caretaker job. ("We all need a break from the music world of chaos every once and a while. But now I'm in NC with family and ready to kick it up a notch again now that I've had the opportunity to achieve other goals thanks to God in heaven above")! When Shuree's music business was ongoing full stride in Washignton State, she was a member of the Chamber of commerce in 3 cities, & the better business bureau, in which she provided many parties for them locally, (another blessing from God... smile). She's hosted thousands of events, worked personally with the radio stations, christian and secular, and was known for her talents, and highly respected for her strong christian moralistic values. Though she does sing secular music, she's very cautious in making sure the lyrics are clean, in which she changes the words at times, to be sure. Shuree had many DJ's who worked with and for her over the years. After moving to NC she worked as a secretary partial bookeeper in a local church in Mt. Olive, and began studying to teach heath & fitness/aerobics, & starting her high level work out programs ("only by Gods grace") etc. She is now, singing, & providing dance music music for retirement parties, special events, and performed vocally for many churches restaraunts (also with 3 month contracts), & special events. "You" are all a blessing, thank you for believing in Shuree's music! Shuree's Music was formally known as Cheri's Showtime Entertainment when in Washington, but is now known in NC as Shuree's Music!
