Chapter One:

Luis paced back and forth in the small room. He was dressed to the nines in a tuxedo with tails and cummerbund as well as the bow tie he was struggling to tie as he paced. "Damn it" he swore as the door opened and his little brother Miguel walked in. "Hey Bro," Miguel snickered, "whats wrong with you? You've tied one of those before." Luis glared at his smart-assed brother and continued to twist the tie in and effort to make it look normal. He wanted it to be perfect. "Quit with the wise guy act and help me with this," Luis said in exasperation. Miguel laughed and walked over to stand in front of his brother. Luis was nervous. Miguel had never seen anything make his brother flustered except for one thing. That one thing was Sheridan. She turned Luis into mush in front of everyone's eyes. Luis acted like he hated it, but in fact, Miguel knew he loved Sheridan so much that he didn't really care. He had noticed remarkable changes in his big brother since he had met Sheridan. The cold hard ass attitude and the cocky cop routine were gone. He still liked to run roughshod over people, but he had met his match in the feisty rich girl from the right side of the tracks. If someone had told him a year before that his brother would be in love with a Crane, Miguel would have laughed in their face. Luis hated the Cranes and still did, with the exception of the blue eyed beauty who had stolen his heart while he wasn't watching. Sheridan had him wrapped around her little finger. She softened him. She made him a better man. Luis only wanted to please her and God help the man who hurt the women he loved. Miguel remembered what Luis had done when he found out old man Alistair and Julian had tricked Sheridan with a mask to make her believe Luis was bad. Julian would not soon forget the beating Luis had given him before Sam Bennett had pulled Luis off of him. Sam had struggled to hold Luis back, but then Sheridan had stepped forward and put a calming hand on his shoulder. He had turned to look into her eyes and Miguel had watched the look that had passed between them. Sheridan didn't have to say a word. Luis stopped his struggle and left with her. Sheridan had been so hurt by what had happened. It had brought them closer then ever. Alistair had tried a few other tricks to keep them apart and had disowned his own daughter. Sheridan had been very hurt by this because deep down she had always hoped her father loved her a little bit. Luis did everything to make her happy after that. Luis helped her find an apartment and a job. Sheridan was working with children at the local hospital. She helped them after surgery or when they were admitted to the hospital sick. She seemed to have a knack of getting people to trust her. She had money of her own in a trust fund that Ethan had helped to get released to her. It was supposed to be after marriage, but Ethan found a loop hole and Sheridan was sitting pretty. Not that it mattered to Luis if she had money or not. As a matter of fact that remained a source of discord between them. Sheridan had paid off the house for Pilar for her birthday and Luis had hit the roof over that. They had fought and not spoken for over a week. Luis walked around like a bear with a thorn in his paw and when Miguel saw Sheridan, she looked horrible with dark circles under her eyes. Eventually love won out and they had made up. The house remained paid off and nothing more was said about it. Miguel smiled at that. Sheridan had won of course. Nothing was said so as not to hurt Luis's pride. Miguel looked over to his older brother then and smiled. He hoped someday to be as happy as his brother. He had hoped it might be with Charity, but that was not happening. He walked over to his brother and smiled again at him. "All ready big Bro?" Luis looked up then and Miguel saw the excitement shining in his brown eyes. "I'm ready if you are little Bro. You do have the ring don't you?" Luis said in a not too steady voice. "The ring?" Miguel asked. "Oh man Luis" Luis looked at Miguel as if he were about to kill him. "Miguel, don't tell me you lost the ring. You know how important that was. It was our Grandmothers wedding ring." Luis said, but stopped when Miguel laughed at him. "Calm down Luis. "Miguel soothed. "It's going to be fine." Miguel walked with his brother and took his place at the front of the church.

The brides room.....

Sheridan sat on a bench as Pilar put the finishing touches on her veil. Sheridan was a vision in white. Her dress was classic. It was made of silk and the bodice was woven lace with tiny pearls sown in. The neck was a sweetheart cut and the back dipped low down her back. The sleeves were long and came to a point on her hand. A band over her middle finger kept it from sliding up. The veil was held on her head by a small tiara. The veil came to the middle of her back. She looked breathtaking. Sheridan had insisted they keep all traditions where the wedding was concerned and Luis had not yet seen the dress. He was in for a pleasant surprise when he saw her coming towards him. Sheridan had on her mothers pearl necklace, one of the few things she had from her mother. Pilar had given her a blue garter and Theresa and Ethan had given her a beautiful bracelet of pearls to match her necklace. Theresa and Ethan had been married 3 months now. They were happy and Luis liked Ethan now. After all his help after her Father had disowned her, Luis could not find anything bad about him anymore. Ethan was giving Sheridan away. Alistair and Julian were not going to be anywhere near here today. Sheridan gave a wistful sigh. She wished her mother were still here to be with her today. Pilar was perfect though in lieu of her Mother though. She had tears in her eyes as she examined Sheridan standing before her. "Oh Sheridan. I was never sure it would work out between you and my son, but I couldn't ask for a better daughter-in-law. Both of my children with a Crane. I would never have believed it possible, but Luis even more so." Sheridan looked at Pilar and smiled. "I know people tend to hate their mother-in-laws, but I love you like a mother already, so I already have one point in my favor." Theresa came in then dressed in a beautiful wine colored dress. It was cut long and flowing. It made her dark hair and eyes even more beautiful. "All ready she announced. They walked out to meet Ethan in the hall waiting to enter the church. The music started and they lined up.

The front of the church.........................

Luis stood nervously leaning from one foot to the other. The music started and the door opened. Miguel and Kay came in first, followed by Theresa and Hank. Hank did not look all that happy. Luis was not sure what was up with that. Hank had been gone for a few months, but had come back just in time for the wedding. Next came Sam Bennett with Ivy Crane. Sam looked decidedly uncomfortable with Ivy next to him. Sheridan had asked Ivy and Luis had asked Sam and they both said yes, but when Sam found out Ivy was in the wedding he had tried to back out. Luis had persuaded him to stay in, but Sam was not as happy as he had been. Luis watched then as Ethan appeared with an angel on his arm. She took his breath away she was so beautiful. Her dress swayed as she walked up to him. Father Lonnigan stood there as Ethan took Sheridan's hand and placed it into Luis's. "Who gives this women's hand in marriage?" Father Lonnigan asked. "I do" Ethan answered before he stepped back and sat down. Luis looked at her then and felt tears clog his throat and threaten to fall from his eyes. He had never seen a more beautiful bride in all his life. He never hoped in all his wildest dreams that someone so beautiful would be his. As she walked towards him, he flashed back to the night he proposed to her. She had cooked him a candlelit dinner at her condo. Yes, Sheridan Crane had actually taken cooking lessons. They had paid off too. Sheridan had become a very good cook. It had taken awhile, but after a slow start, she was off and running. Luis could hardly taste a thing through out the meal. It was delicious spaghetti and garlic bread. The wine she choose went exceptionally well with the meal and all he could do is feel the ring in it's velvet box burning a hole in his pocket. When they were through, he helped her clear. One good thing about the condo was it had a dishwasher whereas the cottage had not. He knew she missed the cottage as did he. It was the first place they had made love. For that, it was eternally etched into his mind and heart. He had been acting very funny all night and he knew that Sheridan was getting very curious about his mood. He wanted the moment to be perfect. He was so reflective that he didn't even hear her ask him a question. He turned to see her staring at him with a quizzical look on her face. "Luis," she said with exasperation tingeing her voice. "Where are you tonight? It's like your here, but not here. If you don't want to be here, then I won't keep you." Luis looked at her in surprise. "Not want to be here? Are you crazy? There's no where I would rather be! I am just thinking that's all." "About what?" She asked as they walked out to sat on the sofa. She sat and he had dropped to one knee in front of her. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as he reached into his pocket and pulled out the little black box. "Sheridan," Luis said stopping to clear his throat and then continued. "Would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" Sheridan looked into his deep brown eyes and smile. "Luis" she said her voice catching with emotion. "I would............................

Chapter Two:

Flashback to Luis proposing.........................

Sheridan looked into Luis anxious eyes and melted. "Luis!" she said her voice catching in her throat. "I would be honored to be your wife. I have wanted nothing more my whole life then to be with my one true love and now I have found you, I want to be with you forever. No, that's not long enough. I want to be with you forever and a day." Luis gathered her into his arms, slid up next to her on the sofa and sealed their love with a kiss. She waited as his lips moved towards hers. His lips touched hers and sparks flew between them as they always did. His lips caressed hers and she put her head back as his lips moved hers apart and his tongue slipped in to meet her awaiting tongue. His tongue moved across her tongue and then out inviting hers to follow and she did, her tongue slipping out and into his warm waiting mouth. His hands caressed her face and neck as his tongue danced with hers. Her hands reached up and tangled in his hair pulling him down to her, closer and tighter. God, she loved this man. His hands left her face and gently moved down her arms. They slid to the front and he raked his finger softly over her breast making her nipple harden at the softest touch. His fingers deftly began to slid down and then up as her shirt followed. He pulled her shirt over her head and then his hands slid around her back and pulled her against his chest. His fingers moved up and unhooked her bra and then slid up to slowly moved it down her arms, his fingers slow and deliberate on her skin making her shiver. She reached down and tugged his shirt up and over his head leaving his chest bare in all it's glory. Luis was so handsome and perfect. His muscles rippled as his arms slid down her arms. She loved to feel his muscled body. She put her hands on his bulging upper arm muscles as he removed her bra totally and tossed it aside. His eyes devoured her body as he looked at her. If this were not her Luis, she would feel invaded. "Sheridan you are so beautiful!" he said and then kissed his way down her neck and then down to take her waiting nipple in his mouth. His tongue laved her nipple causing her to take a sharp breath. Her hands pulled him down to her tangling in his thick hair. Her one hand drifted lower and over the front of his jeans. She felt his muscles tighten in his arms as her fingers played slowly over the front of his pants. Her finger made slow easy circles and she felt his pants begin to tighten. She slid her finger up then and popped the button and slid the zipper down very slowly and deliberately. She was teasing him. He moved suddenly then and hopped up and undid the zipper the rest of the way and pulled his pants and boxers off in one tug. He then undid her pants as well and slid her pants and panties down her legs. He came back to her then laying her down on the sofa and slid down on top of her. His body felt so good pressed over her and his mouth met hers in another searing kiss. His manhood pressed against her thigh hard and hot. "I love you Luis," she whispered in his ear. His mouth covering hers as she spoke muffling her words. "Sheridan," Luis said against her mouth."I have never loved anyone this much in my life and I never will again." With that his legs moved hers apart and his body entered hers in one swift thrust. He felt so good inside her. So right, so perfect. He moved slowly and deliberately taking her to soaring hights. She held onto his arms, reveling in the passions of the moment feeling his muscles tighten as he neared the edge of the precipice she stood on the verge of tumbling over. She wanted to wait for him. He found her there and they tumbled together over the edge of it, drifting slowly back to reality.

Back to the wedding...................

Sheridan's eyes filled with tears of joy. They had been through so much to get to where they were today. Between her Father and Julian, they had almost not made it there. Her Luis looked so handsome and strong standing there in his tuxedo. She loved him in a tux. It made him look even more dashing then ever. Not that he didn't look good in everything he wore. The fact was, the man could make burlap look good. The only way she liked him better was in nothing at all. Her cheeks turned pink as her thoughts drifted to Luis standing before her in all his glory. He smiled at her having no idea of her lascivious thoughts at the moment. Father Lonnigan spoke then and her thoughts drifted back to the here and now. "Dearly beloved. We are gathered here today to join this man, Luis Martin Lopez Fitzgerald and this woman, Sheridan Margaret Crane, in the bonds of holy matrimony. If any man can show just cause that these two should not be joined, let him speak now or forever hold his peace." Father Lonnigan recited. Hank stood next to Sam clinching and unclinching his fists. Sam watched as Hank tried to gain his confidence. He was going to do something and Sam wouldn't let it happen. Luis and Sheridan had fought hard to get here today and nothing his loser of a brother could do would change their love. Sam knew Hank used to have a thing for Sheridan, but there were never feelings reciprocated. Sheridan only had eyes for Luis from when she first came back. Hank never stood a chance and he sure didn't now. Sam reached out and grabbed Hank just as he started to speak. "Don't even think about it" Sam said leaning in close so no one heard. "You are not going to ruin this. I don't know what your thinking, but I am not going to let anything ruin Luis and Sheridan's future happiness. God only knows her Father and Brother tried hard to see this never happen." Hank was startled. He didn't know anyone could tell he was struggling with his inner demons. He was supposed to be the one marrying Sheridan Crane. He was the one who loved her first. Unfortunately, he knew deep down that Sheridan had never and would never love him. He shut up and the ceremony continued. Father Lonigan continued. "Do you Luis Martin Lopez-Fitzgerald take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer? Do you promise to love, honor and protect her cherishing her and forsaking all others, till death do you part?" Luis looked into the shining blue eyes of the women he loved and answered. "I do" Father Lonnigan turned to Sheridan and asked. "Do you Sheridan Margaret Crane take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer? Do you promise to love, honor and cherish him, forsaking all others till death do you part?" Sheridan looked deeply and answered quickly, "I do" Father Lonnigan turned then to the congregation and announced, "Luis and Sheridan have written their own vows which they wish to share now." Luis cleared his throat. He spoke in a clear voice. "Sheridan, I was not sure we would ever see this day come after the rocky start we had and the many bumps we had on our road to happiness. I would never have believed in a million years that someone named Crane would ever play a part in my life. Now that your here and captured my heart, I can't imagine my life without a Crane in it. I fell in love with you when I least expected it. I could never ask for a better person to spend my life with. You are truly my sole mate and my life will be truly complete with you as my wife. I love you more then words can express. I give my heart to you. Sheridan felt tears threaten to spill down her cheeks and she looked up at the man she loved so much. She too, spoke in a clear voice. "Luis, I have waited my entire life to feel the love you show me everyday in a thousand ways. The way you touch my back when you guide me through doors or the way you sometimes just reach out and caress my cheek. You make my life complete and you make me feel so safe and secure. I never dreamed when I came back from Europe to my home town that I would literally run into the man I would marry. We have had our highs and lows and have weathered so much to be able to stand here today. I can't promise all highs in our life from this moment on, but I can tell you that no matter what, I will always love you. You are my one true love I have dreamed of all my life. I can't give you my heart for you have had it for a long time already. I can promise that I will love you forever and a day and even that is not long enough." There was not a dry eye in the church then and Father Lonnigan stepped back up and called for the rings. Miguel stepped forward and handed them to you. Father Lonnigan said,"Luis place this ring on Sheridan's finger and repeat after me. I give you this ring as a sign of my love and fidelity. This ring is a symbol of our love. A circle that is constant and never ending." Luis slid the ring on her finger repeating the words and Sheridan did the same. Then Father Lonnigan smiled at them. "I now pronounce you man and wife. What has been joined let no man put asunder. You may kiss the bride." Luis gently kissed his wife letting his tongue slip inside her mouth slowly and showed her his love. She opened her mouth to him and they got lost in each other. The sound of a throat clearing brought them crashing back to reality. Luis pulled away whispering as he went,"wait for the honeymoon Mrs. Lopez-Fitzgerald." Father Lonnigan gave a small smile. These two were destined for happiness. He spoke then. "I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald." The church erupted with clapping and cheers. Pilar was crying as were Theresa and Ivy. They walked up the isle to start a new chapter of their life...........................

Chapter Three:

The reception lasted way to long in Luis's mind. He wanted to be alone with Sheridan. There were too many people there and all of them wanted to talk to Sheridan. He watched her laugh and chat with people across the room. Even in a room full of people she stood out and not just because she was in the wedding dress either. She made the room light up with her smile and her laugh was like music. Her beauty was more then her looks. It was Sheridan the person. She looked over at him then and he saw the same longing in her eyes. Damn he thought to himself and had to sit down and cross his legs. Wouldn't you know it, here came the mayor of Harmony. "Hello" Luis said with false enthusiasm as the mayor sat down. This was going to be one long afternoon and evening.

Later that evening...............

They were now finally heading out from the reception. Luis was impatient and getting ready to hit the next person who stopped them to talk. Sheridan sensed his feelings and was almost as hurried as he was. Pilar walked up and Luis sighed. He couldn't hit his mother. She yammered on about something and Miguel, came from across the room to save his brother. He tossed the car keys to Luis and said, "Mama, there's someone over here that wants to talk to you." Luis reminded himself to tell Miguel later how much he loved him. Luis swooped Sheridan away as fast as they could run and they were off the Harmony Hills Hotel. They would spend the night there in the hotel before they flew to Spain tomorrow. Luis couldn't wait to get to the hotel.

The Harmony Hills Hotel....

They were pre-registered thanks to Sam and they made their way straight to their room. Sheridan laughed at Luis. "What's the rush? Don't you want to get a drink in the bar first? I heard they make amazing drinks here." Luis stopped in front of their room and pulled her tightly into his arms and his mouth devoured hers in a hot spicy kiss. His tongue was demanding and rough as he pulled her tighter against him. She could feel his urgency pressing against her leg and her arms flew up to wrap around his neck. Luis broke the kiss briefly. "You still want a drink" he asked. Sheridan yanked his head back down to hers. "Luis, shut up and kiss me" she said her voice filled with Passion." Luis shut up and pulled her fiercely to him crushing her lips with his. He walked backward until he reached the door and then rummaged in his pocket for the key. He found it and shoved it in the door and threw it open. WIth that, he swept Sheridan up in his arms never breaking the kiss and carried her into the room across the threshold. He carried her over to the bed and plopped her down and followed her. His body covered hers and his kisses became more urgent. His tongue demanded and was allowed entry into his wife's waiting mouth. Her hands roamed his body and reached up to tangle into his dark hair. She returned his kisses with urgency to equal his. She arched her back to be closer to the man she loved. She wanted to be closer. Clothes were shed with ease and Luis smiled down at her. "I love you." he said to her. "I love you so much my beautiful wife." Sheridan smiled back at him and suddenly pushed him over off of her and her mouth descended his body placing kisses down his body trailing kisses down his chest until she reached her target. She kissed him then causing him to moan in pleasure. She continued until he could take it no more. He pulled her up then and over him and entered her slowly. She arched her back as he rocked her world. He rolled them never breaking contact and continued to make love to her his body showing her how much he loved her. She wrapped her legs around his hips and held onto his arms. "I love you to Luis." she gasped. Suddenly the world exploded into a million pieces and she felt her husband drifting with her. She nestled into his arms and fell asleep for a few hours sleep before they continued from where they had left off. It was a dream come true.

The next morning.............

Sheridan awoke to find Luis watching her with a silly grin on his face. "What?" she asked when she saw the look on his face. "Oh nothing" Luis said "I was just watching my beautiful wife sleep." Sheridan smiled at him then. "I look silly when I sleep" she said. "Oh, now way" Luis said. "You look beautiful no matter what." They kissed then and she pulled him over towards her. "Now, Sheridan don't tempt me. We have a plane to catch. I have to get up and get a shower." He kissed her soundly on the mouth and hopped up. Sheridan heard the shower start and with a wicked grin, hopped up and hurried into the bathroom as well.

At the airport........................

They ran down the terminal to their gate. They made it, but just bearly. Thanks to some unexpected activities in the shower, they almost missed their flight. They had first class tickets though and got right on and almost as soon as they sat down, the doors were shut and the plane took off. Luis held her hand on his knee as the plane took off to what would be a beautiful honeymoon. Luis reached between them and pulled the seat arm up leaving them free to be close and gathered her as the plane keep climbing. He looked down at her and he couldn't help but place a kiss on her lips. He had not intended to take it any farther, but as soon as his lips met hers, they took on a life of their own. He could not stop himself and his lips came down harder on hers parting them to accept his questing tongue. His hands come up and framed her face caressing and holding. They got caught up in the kiss and only parted when an embarrassed voice asked. "Umm excuse me, did you want a drink?" They parted, embarrassed they had forgotten where they were. They took some drinks and thanked the stewardess. They didn't notice the man trying to hide from their view, obviously watching their every move. He had turned away in disgust when they were kissing. He smiled and evil grin. His time would come.

Chapter Four:

The Honeymoon........

Luis and Sheridan hurried through customs and grabbed a cab and rushed off to the hotel they were staying at. The cab pulled up and Luis and Sheridan hurried out of it and into the lobby. They didn't notice a cab pull up behind them and the same man from the plane frowned as Luis pulled Sheridan into the lobby. Luis was practically pulling Sheridan off her feet he was in such a hurry to get up to their room. They checked in and followed the bellhop up to the Honeymoon suite. He opened the door for them and took the luggage in and put it down for them. After they assured him that was all they needed and Luis had tipped him, he left them standing in the hall. Sheridan moved to go into the room and Luis reached out to grab her arm to stop her. "Luis?" she questioned. "First you can't get me up here fast enough and now you won't let me go in?" Luis only grinned at her and swooped her up into his arms. "I would think that by now my dear wife, that you would know I am a very old fashioned man." He said. "I am going to carry you over the thresh hold." He did just that and she stared in awe when they got into the room. There was a heart shaped bed in the center of the room. There was a red satin bed spread on it and red lacy pillows on there as well. Off to the right stood an enormous fire place with a conveniently placed fur rug in front of it. The room was also filled with roses. Their scent perfumed the air. There was another sitting room off to the left. A large white sofa and two large red wing chairs. A heart red and white coffee table off set the room and that room too was filled with roses. White and red. Off through there she could see a door that she assumed was the bathroom. She didn't have time to think after that as Luis's lips settled onto hers and passion filled her. His mouth urged hers open and she pulled him tighter to her. He tumbled her down onto the bed and covered her body with his own. She let him slide between her knees and she felt his need for her press against her and it only made her want him more. His kisses were passionate and deep. She met his tongue with her own and they tangled and stroked circling and playing. His hands roamed her body reaching the bottom of her shirt they continued up and under to her breasts. His fingers circled and teased her nipple till they were hard points. He pulled her shirt up and over her head. She had bought special lingerie just for tonight. He smiled when he saw the beautiful lacy white bra.

"Mmmmmmm" He sighed. "I like this. Too bad you can't keep it on longer." His hands slid around and she arched her back and he undid the hooks and exposed her to him. "You are so beautiful." He said looking down at her. He dipped his head down and took her waiting nipple into his mouth. She threw back her head to allow him full access to her. His other hand crept down her body and up under the short black skirt she wore. His fingers played over her and she sighed with the feeling that over took her. She let her hands grip his muscled arms as his hand and tongue reeked havoc with her senses. She pulled at his shirt and he sat up momentarily. He yanked the shirt over his head and then lay down on top of her pressing her breasts against his hard muscular chest. He loved the feel of her against him. His hand crept lower again and he undid her zip on her dress. He placed his hand under her bottom and eased her hips up and slid her skirt and underwear down. He then slid down her body and kneeled on the floor in front of her. She tried to sit up, but he put a gentle hand on her stomach keeping her where she was. He took on leg in his hand and placed a soft kiss on her big toe. It made her giggle. "Luis?" She said. "Shhhhhhh" he answered. He then placed a soft kiss on the top of her foot then on her ankle and to her calf. His mouth opened and his tongue came out to tease the back of her knee when he reached there. Sheridan stiffened in anticipation when he placed a kiss on her thigh and then a little higher. She felt a fire start inside her when his lips reached their destination. She threw back her head in ecstasy as he worked his magic on her. She felt that building of passions start and then course through her body as wave after wave of passion took her. Luis felt her tense up and then her release. He then slid up her body and entered her in one swift stroke. His lips took hers at the same moment and his tongue kept time with their lovemaking. He whispered over and over his love for her as he showed her how much he loved her. Finally with one last thrust, the world tilted and he fell over the edge of the world. She tumbled with him and hugged him to her as she felt his release. "I love you Luis." She said to him.

Later..........

They lay entwined together on the heart bed. Sheridan lay on Luis's shoulder their arms and legs tangled. They had been that way for quite a while. Finally Sheridan broke the silence. "Luis." She said."I'm hungry." Luis gave her a lopsided smile. "Already?" He asked. His mouth taking hers in a deep kiss. Sheridan struggled out of his grasp. "Wuis" she said his mouth still over hers. "I mean it. Mmm hungry" He rained kisses on her lips the whole time. Sitting up then he said. "Fine I guess we can't have my new wife starving to death." He got up and started to dress. Sheridan stood up as well and actually blushed when Luis looked her naked body up and down. "You know," he said. "That's one thing I love about you. We just made love and I saw every inch of your body and your embarrassed to have me look at you." She rolled her eyes at him. "I need to take a quick shower." She said and went through the sitting room and into the room she assumed was the bathroom. Luis watched her walk away her shapely bottom wiggling at him tempting him to grab her, throw her down and ravage her. He looked down. His body was not ready to eat dinner yet. He heard the shower start and he smiled wide and walked towards the bathroom.

Sheridan found the room was a bathroom. It was huge. A large heart shaped hot tub was off to the right. To the left was a long vanity with two sinks. The theme in here too was red and white. To the back of the room was a large glass shower. It was large as well. She started the shower and stepped under the warm spray. Luis walked into the bathroom and stopped short. She stood in the shower. It was a glass cubicle. He watched her hands roam over her body and he stared in awe of his beautiful wife. He was the luckiest man alive. He didn't hesitate any longer. He strode over and opened the door and stepped in. She turned as he stepped in. He didn't give her a chance to speak. His mouth captured hers and he pulled her against his body. She felt his need pressing against her. He kissed down her neck as his hands gripped her bottom and he picked her up and placed himself into her. Pressing her back against the wall, he made love to her. This time was not gentle, but passionate and erotic. She arched her back feeling him as he moved inside of her hard and hot. She was so in love with this man. She didn't know if she would ever get enough of him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and let the feeling take her.

Later after they had finally showered, they were getting dressed. Luis had washed her hair for her and soaped her body as she washed his hair as well. Silly as it might sound. it was a very erotic adventure. Now, later then they had planned, they were off to find some sustenance. She grabbed her purse as they were leaving. Luis pulled her into his embrace and kissed her pressing her against him his hands reaching down to grip her bottom. She groaned. "Luis we have to stop this. If we start this again, we are never going to get out of here." Luis took her mouth in a passionate kiss. "Would that be so bad?" he asked. She gave him a stern look and he threw up his hands in defeat. "Fine." He said. "Just wait till I get you back here though." The look he shot her sent shivers down her spine. "Let's hurry." She said.

They walked hand in hand down the street to a small cafe. Luis saw a flower vender on the side of the street and he went over to buy his beautiful wife some. He could never give her enough flowers to tell her how much he loved her. When he turned back to give them to her she was gone. Luis stared in shock to where she had been standing. He thought she was playing and called out her name. After a second or two, he realized this was no joke. He dropped the flower and started to scream her name.

Chapter Five:

Spain.................

At first when Luis couldn't see Sheridan, he thought she was playing. When he called her several times, each time getting more and more frantic, and she didn't answer, a feeling of dread passed over him. This was no game. He turned in circles trying to figure out his next move. He had been so caught up with love, he hadn't been watching her. But, who would take her? Alistair? He had objected to the marriage and had even disinherited Sheridan. None of that had stopped them from loving each other and getting married. Would Alistair even care anymore? He had given up all contact with Sheridan after disinheriting her. Sheridan had been hurt and upset, but not surprised. Alistair had no heart. It didn't make sense that he would allow them to marry and then try something like this. If he was going to make a move, he would have done it before the marriage took place. But if it wasn't Alistair, then who? Luis was in a panic. He raced first one way and then another. He looked down alleys and side streets. It had only been a second. Whoever had Sheridan couldn't have gone that far. Unless they had a car waiting near. "Damn!" Luis swore. He slammed his fist against the top of a garbage can. It tipped and Sheridan's purse fell out. He grabbed it and opened it. There wasn't much in it. A small wallet with money still in it. It hadn't been a mugging then. A handkerchief, a lipstick and the compact he had given her. Then at the very bottom he saw it.....

In a car speeding away.................

The man drove like a nut. He had to get away and get away fast. Sheridan was slumped unconscious in the passenger seat. He had chloroformed her. He had throw her bag away and throw her in the car. She was heavy to carry. He hadn't planned on that. She didn't look all that big. He drove on to his destination hoping she didn't wake before they got there. He didn't want to have to use the chloroform again. Quite frankly it stunk. The smell made him sick to his stomach. He stepped on the gas and speed even faster.

In the ally.......

Luis dumped her purse out and the item fell into his hand. It was her wedding and engagement rings. She had not taken them off. He knew that for a fact. She told him in the shower when he commented that she had her rings on in there, that she would never take them off. Someone had to have taken them off. But why? He started for the nearest police station. He located it by asking several people in his broken Spanish where it was. He ran in and started the process of reporting his wife missing. They were understanding and promised to do all they could to find her. Luis knew without them telling him, that it would be very difficult. There was no evidence to speak of. No one had seen anything. He had even gone back and questioned the flower vendor. He had been getting the flowers for Luis and had not seen a thing either. Luis walked back to the hotel. He went back up to the room and plopped down on the bed. Her nightgown was laying there next to him and he pulled it over to him and inhaled deeply taking in her scent. What was he going to do? He had to find her. She was his whole life. Without her, he had lost his reason to live.

A small cottage somewhere outside of Madrid..........

He had carried her limp body into the house and throw her on the bed. He found the ropes he had and tied her to the bedposts. She was starting to wake up now. He wanted her tied up until he was sure she wouldn't try to get away. He knew once he had explained the situation, she would come around. Then they would make love. She would be happy with him. She moaned and tossed her head back and forth waking up and trying to put her hands down. Sheridan had a headache and her hands wouldn't seem to cooperate. She struggled to open her eyes. What was wrong with her? Her head felt all fuzzy and her mouth was dry and had a weird taste in it. When she finally managed to pry her eyes open, she had no idea where she was. She was confused and more then a little scared when she realized that the reason her hands wouldn't work was that they were tied to the headboard. Were she and Luis playing a game? No, he wouldn't leave her tied up if she was not feeling well. She struggled to see where she was. "Luis?" She called weakly. A figure moved off to her right and he came into view. Her mouth dropped open in shock. "What is going on?" She gasped. "Why?" He smiled at her. "I love you" He said.

The hotel........

Luis paced the floor. He couldn't just sit here. He needed to do something. He was just getting ready to leave and start searching to streets for her when the phone rang. It was the flower vendor. He was calling to let Luis know that a neighboring vendor had seen something. A man had put a cloth over Sheridan's mouth and carried her off. He had throw her in a small fiat and speed off. He didn't know where they went, but he saw they headed north. There were lots of cottages and summer houses out there. Luis asked for the license number and surprisingly enough the man had it. Luis hung up and ran for the police station. When he got there, they had already found out that an American had rented the car. He had used the name Howard Smith. Obviously an alias. But that didn't really help a whole lot. They were still back at the beginning. They still didn't know where the man had taken Sheridan. Then it hit Luis. If the man had to rent a car, then he was obviously not a rich man so that ruled out Alistair. The man would most likely have had to rent a cottage.

The cottage........

Sheridan was getting more upset. "I still don't get why you took me!" She said. "I love you!" He said again. She shook her head. "How can you say that when you took me from the man I love? The man I married. You know I'm a married woman! You were at the wedding!" She held up her hand to show her rings only to discover they were gone. "What's going on here? What did you do with my rings?" She yelled at him. He walked over to a dresser and opened a drawer and took out a velvet box. He walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. He reached out to touch her face and she flinched away from him. "You never gave me a chance" He said. "I will show you what real love is!" He stood up and turned away from her as he spoke. She frowned at him. "You don't understand!" She said in a quiet voice. "I will never love you. I love Luis. Without him I am incomplete. I have waited my entire life for him. To know this kind of love. I will never love you. I consider you a friend. Well, at least I did. After this, I have to question that." He turned back abruptly and opened the box to reveal what appeared to be a gaudy diamond ring. "I'll show you what love it. I"ll be good to you." He promised. He moved up to where her hand was tied and tried to put the ring on her finger. She curled her fingers into a fist. "I know it's not a real diamond, but as soon as we are married, I will buy you a new one. " He laughed. "Then I will be rich. I can buy you a ring fit for a queen. Until then this one will have to do." He tried to pry her fingers open. She resisted with all her strength. She was getting more frightened by the second. He was really demented. What was he thinking? "It's going to be great Sheridan." He was saying still trying to pry her fingers open.

The police station......

Luis slammed the phone down. He had called all but one of the places that rented cottages. None of them had spoken to an American nor did they have any cottages available near Madrid. Luis dialed the last number. It had been busy the last three times Luis had called. This time it rang. When he hung up, Luis had directions to a cottage that had been rented to an American using the name Howard Banks. It was possible a long shot, but the first name was the same. Luis was willing to take the chance of barging in on a total stranger at the slim chance it was Sheridan. He told the policemen who were helping him what he had discovered. They too were suspicious enough to agree to take him in a police car to check out the lead. They ran to a police car and went lights and sirens towards a cottage in the outskirts of Madrid and possible to Sheridan. Luis willed the car to go faster.

The cottage........

He still worked at prying her hand open. "Please don't!" She cried. "I'm married to Luis. Putting a ring on my finger won't change that!" He managed to get her fingers open. He pushed the ring onto her ring finger scraping her knuckle as he did. It was way too big. She remembered how when Luis had slipped the engagement ring on her finger, it had fit perfectly. Like it was meant to be there. He smiled satisfied with himself and bent down and placed a wet kiss on her lips. His tongue tried to push between her lips as well, but she kept her lips clamped firmly together. Luis would find her. He had to. She was scared to death of this man she had once thought to be a good friend. He sat up then and gave her a mean look. "Why do you keep resisting me?" He snarled. "We will be married. You'll see then we were meant to be. You will be happier then you have ever been when you become my wife. When you become Mrs.............................

Chapter Six:

The cottage..............

"When you become Mrs. Hank Bennett." He said satisfied with himself. Sheridan was more then a little scared then. What was he thinking? Hank was her friend. He had come up with the scheme to save her from Roger and Pierre. Granted it had almost killed her, but he had done it to save her. At the time she had thought it was because he thought of her as a friend and wanted her to be with Luis as well. He had stood up for Luis at their wedding. How could he be doing this?

Hank went on. "I have followed you for years. Long before you met me. I was working for your Father. I watched you all those years in Paris. I even came to see you in the hospital when you had your accident. He wanted to know you every move. He fired me when you married Luis. I knew I had to act, but I couldn't come up with a way to get to you before you went and married Luis. I can fix that too. We can fly to Reno and get you a quickly divorce." Sheridan stared at him with her mouth hanging open. He had been spying on her for years.

On the way to the cabin...........

Luis wanted to reach his foot over and press the accelerator down to speed them up. He knew they were going fast now, but they seemed to be moving at a snails pace to him. He had a gut feeling that Sheridan was there at this cottage and afraid. Who ever took her, was obviously not all that smart. He had not tried to cover his tracks. He was either an idiot or not used to such intrigue. He was not a professional. That was on their side anyway. Luis knew from the directions that they were getting close. He prayed they were on time and they were still here.

The cottage......

Hank sat down on the bed again and tried to pull her into his arms. This time she didn't resist. Maybe if she played along, he would untie her and she could take him off guard and get away. She smiled at him. "I didn't know how you felt." She said sweetly. "Why didn't you ever tell me?" Hank tried to pull her closer, but with her hands tied, it was impossible. She seemed to be coming around. Maybe if he untied her, they could make love. He reached up and untied one of her hands. Bingo thought Sheridan. He was being lulled into a false sense of calm. Now if only he would untie her all the way, then she could hit him with something and get away. "So you will fly with me to Reno and divorce Luis?" He asked her. She nodded her head, not wanting to confirm it out loud. She felt like she was betraying Luis even though she didn't mean it. He smiled a big smile then. "I knew it!" He yelled. "You do love me! I knew we would be together. I want to make love to you. I want to make you forget Luis." She smiled through the bile rising in her throat. He took that to mean she wanted to make love too. He untied her other hand and in one quick movement, had her pinned under him. His hands were rough as they roamed over her body. His movements jerky and unsure. His mouth descended to hers and his tongue dove in before she could clamp her mouth closed. He pushed her legs roughly apart and pushed himself against her. She wanted to cry out for Luis, but knew she would only make him mad. She reached one hand up to touch his head and with the other, reached for the lamp on the nightstand next to the bed and brought it crashing down onto his head. He was knocked out cold. She squirmed her way out from beneath him and ran. She got to the door and threw it open and ran for her life.

The police car.......

They reached the cottage and Luis was out of the car in a flash. He saw the cottage door was standing open. He ran in and found Hank sitting up on the bed and bleeding from a gash on his head. "Luis!" He said in shock when he saw him. "What the hell is this Hank?" Luis asked. "You took Sheridan? Why the hell would you do that?" Hank shook his head. "I love her!" He snapped. "She was mine first. I saw her first!" Luis turned to the officers. "Arrest this man!" He said. Then he turned back to Hank. "Where is she?" He demanded. Hank shrugged his shoulders. "I have no idea. The bitch hit me over the head and took off!" Luis had to smile. His daring wife had escaped her captor. He had to give her credit. She was feisty. He ran to the door and looked around. Where would she go? Which way? She had been scared and disoriented that was for sure. He saw all the open space and then the trees that went into the surrounding Forrest. That would be the only way. She would want cover. She wouldn't want to be in the open.

In the Forest.........

Sheridan had run until she couldn't catch her breath. She stopped now and listened. She couldn't hear any footsteps following her. She was safe for now. She sat down on a fallen tree trunk and the tears came then. She wanted Luis. She let her mind go back to him and their night together. She was happier then she had ever been. His touch and his kisses made her feel so cherished and safe. She had never been so loved in her life. Why did these things keep happening to her? Was she not meant to be happy? So many things had transpired to keep her and Luis apart. They had overcome them all and had finally married. She thought their troubles were over. She looked down at her stomach. There was something she had not told Luis or Hank as well. She believed she might be pregnant. She had suspected before the wedding, and she had not had the time to confirm it. She had wanted to wait until she was sure. This stress couldn't be good for a baby if she were pregnant. Luis had to come. He had to. She was so scared and now she might even be pregnant so Luis would be saving her and his unborn child. She was running for her life as well as her child's if she was indeed pregnant. She let her eyes drift closed. She imagined a baby boy with Luis dark eyes and hair. She wanted it to be true. There was nothing she wanted more in life then to have a family with Luis. Then she heard it. The sound of running feet. She stood up in a panic and took off running again.

Running through the forest......

Luis had seen them bringing Hank out just before he had entered the woods. Hank had called out to him. "Luis! Don't let them do this to me buddy! She was mine anyway. I was only taking what was mine!" Luis didn't stop. He ran and was now running along what appeared to be a path. She must have come this way. He heard running feet then as he ran on. That was her. Sheridan ran in terror. How had he come to so fast? He would find her and rape her. She knew in her heart that if he caught her, he would do just that. Something in his brain had just snapped. He was not the man she thought he was. She heard the running feet gain on her and she tried to pick up speed. She didn't see the big root sticking up out of the ground. Her foot caught in it just as she heard his voice call her. "Sheridan!" He yelled. "Don't be afraid! It's me Luis!" Her foot caught in the root and she fell unable to stop herself. She fell hard. Her head hit a tree trunk and she fell hard on her stomach. Luis saw it all happen, but he was too far from her to stop it. His scream of agony when he reached her side filled the forest. She had hit her head hard and was bleeding from the head. He gathered her up in his arms and ran back to the cottage. He ran faster then he ever thought possible. It was as if his feet had sprouted wings. They carried him and his love safely through to the cottage. The officer waiting for him saw his face and opened the door for him. Luis ran up and placed her gently in the car and they raced off to the hospital.

The hospital.........

Luis paced the waiting room. It had been almost a half an hour since they had gotten here. Why hadn't he heard anything yet? He was worried sick. By the time they had gotten here, Luis was soaked with blood and Sheridan had been deathly pale. They had rushed her off and he had been shown to this area. He wanted to know she was OK. He needed to know. Why had he waited so long to call out to her. She had been frightened. If he had called out, she would have run to him not away from him. Damn it. He was so stupid. Just then the Dr came in. Luis was at his side in no time flat. "Is she ok?" He asked anxiously. The Dr nodded his head. "Your wife has a bad concussions and some broken ribs, but other then that your wife and baby are doing just fine." Luis smiled at the Doctor. "She's ok?" He said. "She's ok and.........baby?" It hit him then the doctor had said your wife and baby. "Baby?" He said in shock. The Doctor smiled. "Yes, your wife is about 12 weeks pregnant. You didn't know?" Luis shook his head. Sheridan was pregnant. They were going to have a baby! "Can I see her?" He asked the doctor. The doctor nodded and showed him to where Sheridan was. Luis couldn't wait to share in the news that they were going to be parents. He walked in and smiled at her in the bed with a bandage on her head. "Hi." He said, walking over to the bedside. "Hi." She said smiling back. "Are you another doctor?" The smile faded from Luis face.

Chapter 7

The hospital.......

Luis rushed to be by his wife's side. When he walked in, he said. "Hi" Sheridan looked at him and asked, "Are you another doctor?" Luis had a huge smile on his face, but at her words, it melted. Then, giving a laugh he smiled again. "Very funny Sheridan." He laughed. She raised her eyebrow at him. "Funny?" She questioned. Luis realized she was not pretending then and his heart sank. The doctor came up behind him. He explained that Sheridan was obviously suffering from amnesia. Luis gave him a hard look. "What are you going to do about it?" He demanded. The doctor explained then how the brain was a mystery and they had no idea how long this could last. It was caused by the bump on the head. He assured Luis that they could fly home and see a doctor back in the states. He turned and told Sheridan she should go with him. He was asked to leave the room and when they opened the door again, Sheridan was dressed and ready to leave. He had booked a flight in the mean time and they were on the next flight out in an hour. They would just make it. She was very quite as they walked out. They caught a taxi to the hotel and she didn't say a word to him. He held the door for her when they got to the hotel and then again at the room. She thanked him politely each time, but there was something lacking in her voice. It was as if he was with a stranger. The doctor had told her he was her husband. She had reacted to this news much like she was acting now. Lukewarm and unresponsive. He hoped that seeing their honeymoon suite would jog something in her memory. Sheridan felt empty. Nothing was even vaguely familiar. She didn't know this handsome man the doctor assured her was indeed her husband. She trusted him instinctively, but she held back. He was a total stranger to her. Somehow, she sensed her would never hurt her, but she also wanted to keep her distance. She looked around the room that should be familiar to her. Suitcases stood open on a suitcase rack and things were strewn around the room as if they had been taken off in abandon. She had made love with this man just the night before, but now standing her in the same room, she didn't know him and she didn't know herself. Luis watched as Sheridan looked around the room. No recognition jumped into her eyes. She didn't remember the room. Didn't remember him or the time they had spent here. She didn't remember the love they shared or their past. His heart dropped. She glanced down at her hand. "If we're married, how come I don't' have a ring on?" She asked him breaking the silence. Luis reached into his pocket and took out her rings. "You ummm, took them off." He said. The doctor said not to tell her about the traumatic stuff she had been through. It could be part of the reason she was having this amnesia. Having Hank do that to her. He had been their friend. It might be contributing to her condition and it could make it worse. She frowned at his hand. The rings were beautiful. She took them from his hand and a spark of electricity leapt between them when her fingers brushed against his palm when she reached for her rings. She yanked her hand back as if she had been burned. Hurt flashed in his eyes, but quickly disappeared. Not before she saw it though. Her rejection had hurt him. She didn't mean to, but it scared her. Not knowing who she was, much less who this gorgeous man in front of her was. He turned then and started gathering things up. She slipped the rings back on her finger and they felt right there. They packed up quickly and checked out. They took a taxi to the airport. On the way in the door, his hand went out of it's own volition and touched the small or her back as he guided her in the door. Once again the spark flew from his fingers on her back up her spine. She pulled away from him and once again watched the hurt flood his eyes. "Sorry." He murmured looking away. She felt like a heel. She was hurting this man without meaning to. They had arrived just in time and boarded the plane immediately.

The plane......

Several hours later, they were half way home. Luis sat on the outside seat with Sheridan in the window seat. She was hunched against the window as if even in sleep, she wanted to keep her distance. It hurt him so badly to have her acting this way. They should be celebrating the impending birth of their child and instead, they were like strangers having met for the first time on this flight. He knew it wasn't her fault, but it still stung. Before they left, he had called the police station and told them they wouldn't be pressing charges. They couldn't press charges if Sheridan didn't remember what happened. He didn't want to force the issue anyway. Hank needed help. Maybe he would fly back to the states too and get it. As long as he stayed away from them, he didn't care. He didn't want to see Hank rot away in a foreign jail anyway. He looked over at his sleeping wife and stopped the stewardess and asked her for a pillow and blanket. When she brought it back, Luis slipped it under Sheridan's head against the window and covered her up. He managed to do it without waking her too. He didn't want her to pull away from him again. He lay his head back on the back of the seat. He wouldn't sleep. He was too upset to sleep.

Harmony.........

They had landed and Luis called softly to Sheridan to wake her. She didn't stir. He had to reach out and shake her shoulder gently. "We're home." He said softly. She opened her eyes. She remembered the man and that his name was Luis, but the word home brought no memories flooding back to her as it should have. "Harmony?" She said. "Is that right?" He nodded. They stood up then and he reached for her hand, but quickly pulled it back when he remembered her reactions the day before. That sad look was in his eyes again and she knew she was the cause. She wanted to make it disappear, but didn't know how. "Where exactly do we live?" She asked. Luis gave her a sad look. "We just bought a house before the wedding." He said. "Is that where you want to go then? Or would you rather go back to our old cottage for a while and be alone?" She thought it over. Part of her wanted to crawl in a corner and hide away from all this new terrifying life she was living and part of her knew that if she wanted to get her memory back, she needed to stay with familiar things. "I guess since we are officially married, I should stay with you. But, is there....I mean do we ...?" She paused. He got that hurt look in his eyes yet again. "I won't push anything Sheridan. If you remembered me you would know I would never push you into anything much less my bed. I will sleep on the sofa until you get your memory back." Until he said. That meant he believed she would get it back. She wanted that more then anything. She hated seeing that hurt look every few seconds in Luis's eyes. Even though she didn't remember him, part of her didn't want to hurt him. She knew if she had married him, she must have loved him. She let him open her car door for her and they drove on unfamiliar streets to an unfamiliar house and into an unfamiliar driveway. He put the car and park and watched her reaction. Sheridan had loved this house. It was in an old district of Harmony and was not what Luis thought she would want. He wanted to get her one of the big new houses on the other side of town, but one day on the way home from spending time together with the kids at the youth center, they had driven past this house and had seen the for sale sign. She had fallen in love at first sight. She made him stop and one look at her face and Luis knew they were looking at their future house. It was a two story house. Gray brick with white wood trim and a huge porch, painted white, that wrapped around the house. The porch had a swing over to one side and it made Sheridan squeal in delight. They sat on the swing then for over an hour talking about the plans for this house and kissing and cuddling. It was perfect she said. Now as they walked up on that same porch, her eyes strayed to the swing in the corner. She stopped and stared. "Did I pick this house?" She asked. A smile spread on his face. "Yes." He said. "Yes, you did. Do you remember something?" She looked back at the swing. "I don't have a specific memory, but something about that swing makes me feel, I don't' know, welcome." A feeling. Luis would take that. It meant that somewhere in there, his Sheridan was there waiting to emerge and come back to him. He smiled and held the door for her. She smiled at him and walked in. The front room was warm and welcoming. It was filled with country style furniture. Big and welcoming. A sofa was in the center of the room and two wing chairs on either side of it. A coffeetable was in front of it and two matching endtables graced either end of the sofa. Pastel colors made the room feel comfy and cozy. A curio cabinet was on one wall and a piano in the corner. There was a big fireplace with a huge plush rug in front of it. He turned on a hall light and she could see a big kitchen towards the back of the house. A hall led to three doors next to the front door. Luis opened one and hung up their coats. She wondered what the other two doors led to. He put one of the suitcases down at the bottom of the stairs. "I'll show you to our....I mean your room." He said. She followed him up the stairs hiding a smile when she watched how his nice bottom wiggled as he walked ahead of her. This might not be all bad she thought. The bedroom was amazing. A huge sleigh bed was in the center of the room. Two matching nightstands were next to it and a huge dresser was along one wall. An entertainment center was on the other wall and off of the bedroom was an adorable dressing room with a walk in closet and a dressing table. The bedroom was done in hunter green and mauve. The colors were rich, but again the effect was comofortable and inviting. It was a room that put her at ease. Even though she didn't remember it, it made her feel at home immediately. Luis shown her to the door and put her suitcase down and left. "Goodnight." He said quietly and was gone. Now burrowed under the covers, she felt so comfortable and drifted off into a deep sleep.

The next day................

Luis woke up with a crick in his neck. The sofa was not all that uncomfortable, but he was so tense. He knew that he would be here for a while too. He didn't want to push Sheridan at all. If she was ever going to remember, he didn't want it to be so traumatic that she would lose her memory for good. He planned to give her plenty of space. He yawned and got up. He would go into work today and give her time to adjust to being here. He showered in the upstairs bathroom, but not the one in the master bathroom. The house had 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom had a bathroom of it's own and then there was another for any kids or visitors they had. He used that one so he didn't wake her. He had to go in the room to get his uniform though. He paused outside the door debating on knocking. He finally decided to just slip in and get it and let her sleep. He wanted her to get her rest. He grabbed his clothes quickly and snuck back out. He dressed, left a note on the kitchen table and went to work. Later when Sheridan wandered down to the kitchen, she found it there. It was short and to the point. Went to work. Be home at 5. Luis. She put it back down on the table. The kitchen was a dream. All oak cabinets. A center island had the stove top on it and a breakfast nook was nestled in the corner. An old country table with a bench on one end and two chairs was where she had found the note. Off one end of the kitchen was a beautiful dining room. It was done in white. The table was glass top and sliver and black and a collection of china was placed in a black cabinet off to the right. Off the other end of the kitchen was a family room. It was very comfortable looking as well. Done in shades of blue. The theme of the room was coastal. Lighthouses were everywhere and seascapes decorated the walls. A big over stuffed neutral colored sofa sat on one wall. An entertainment center was on the other. It was immediately her favorite room. There was a desk along the window with a computer on it. She walked over and looked out the window. The window overlooked the back yard. It was huge as well. Gardens ran along the fenced in yard. A small shed was in the way back of the yard. A hammock stood in the shade under a tree next to a patio. There were sliding doors off of the kitchen to get to the patio. She walked back out and gazed out the sliding door. A smile formed on her face. She had felt a small flutter in her stomach just then. The doctor told her she was pregnant. Luis, the total stranger and her were going to have a baby. She rubbed her stomach and went to find something to eat for breakfast. Luis had left coffee on for her and she poured a cup. She made some toast and had a sudden craving for scrambled eggs. She whipped up a batch and spotted some cooking books on the corner of the counter on a shelf. She sat at the table and decided to cook dinner for Luis and her tonight. The books must belong to her. She must know how to cook. She would just follow the directions. She found her way to the market and bought some chicken for dinner that night and lots of other groceries. When Luis walked in that night, a wonderful smell assailed his senses. Had Sheridan ordered in dinner? She must have. He walked in the kitchen to find her cooking. He stood there speechless. She turned to see his shocked look. "What?" She asked. "I cooked dinner." Luis gave her a funny look. "I see that." He said. "But Sheridan, you don't cook." She shrugged. "I guess I do now." She said. He sat down at the table in the kitchen and waited for the worst. Instead he had the best chicken and rice of his life. He was happily shocked. She must have had it in her all along and didn't know it. He hoped when she got her memory back she would remember she could cook like this.

3 months later........

Sheridan was now 6 months pregnant. They had been back in Harmony for 3 months. She was just starting to show quite a bit. At first it was just a little bulge at first, but the past few weeks, the bulge had gotten bigger and bigger. Now almost none of her clothes fit. Luis had mentioned it when they were sitting out on the porch swing together as they often did after dinner. Sometimes Pilar came over or Ethan and Theresa too. They all seemed so familiar to her, but somehow she still didn't remember her past. Luis was so patient. They were getting closer all the time. She didn't flinch away from his touch and hadn't for a while now. She found her hand creeping into his at times and he always curled his fingers around hers and smiled at her. Last night, he had commented on her tummy. He mentioned she didn't have any maternity clothes. She found out they didn't have any problems with money. She was apparently rich. Luis supported them quite well on his own and wouldn't touch her money, but told her she could use it for herself. That was what they had agreed on before they got married. She knew she had seen a cute shop in town that had maternity clothes in as well as regular clothes. She set off that day to buy a new wardrobe for her new figure. She thought she might pop over to the police station and see if Luis wanted to go out to lunch after she was through. She felt so close to him lately. Somehow when all else was confusing, being with Luis made her feel better. It was as if subconsciously she knew they were meant to be. As she found one cute outfit after the other, a voice called her name. "Sheridan? Is that you?" the woman asked. Sheridan smiled sweetly.
