Another excellent fanfic written by Kim. Just a warning, there's some sexual content in there which may be inappropriate for young readers! :)
The pier in Harmony..............
Sheridan strolled along the pier and stared out over the water. So much had happened this past week that her head was spinning. She had been kidnapped by Luis, had him arrested, dropped the charges, came back to Harmony and now she had word that Luis had been suspended without pay from the Harmony PD. It was all her fault and she felt awful. The worst part of it all was that she was guilty of making his life hell. She had not meant this to go so far, but Julian had taken matters in to his own hands. She had tried to talk to Sam, but so far, nothing helped. She was just turning a corner when she saw him.
He sat on a bench with his head in his hands. He looked so forlorn. It was all her fault! She wanted to fix it right now, but she had to settle for just trying to apologize. She walked up to where he sat and sat down next to him. He looked up and she saw the anguish in his eyes. When he saw it was her, his eyes hardened and he frowned at her. Sheridan tried to speak her mind.
"Luis," she started to say, but he held up a hand to silence her and snapped, "Sheridan, save it for someone who cares. Just shut up and go away and leave me alone." Sheridan's eyes registered pain as his words cut into her soul.
Luis saw it and hesitated a second until he remembered what he was mad about. His whole life was turned upside down now. All he had done was try to save her sorry ass from her would-be assassins. Now he was suspended without pay and in need of money. He couldn't stop himself and he continued, "Look first you try to dodge my help in Paris and refuse to return to the states with me. Then when I save your sorry butt yet again, you have me arrested and thrown in jail." Sheridan opened her mouth to speak but Luis broke in before she could get a word in edgewise. "I said to keep your mouth shut. All I ever do is listen to you bad mouth me and tell me what a horrible guy I am. Well, guess what Sheridan. I am going to be that man you seem to think I am. I am going to tell you what I think of you! I brought you back to the US to help you and you have me arrested because I did it to what? Be mean? No, I did it to save you from your own stubborn pride. I paid for your plane ticket back out of my own pocket. I used the money set aside for next months mortgage. I figured that I could put in some over time to make up the difference, but of course now I have no job. So you see, we are out on our ear. No more chances. I can't pay the bill and they wont carry us. We have to move out in 10 days! Normally I have money set aside in savings too for this kind of emergency, but you see, I used that to fly to Paris and then missed the return flight and had to buy another ticket. Now I have no savings, no job and no home! Are you happy?" Sheridan was in shock. She had no idea the depth of the problems she had caused Luis. "I am so sorry Luis," she said. "Save it," Luis snapped."I have heard all your sorrys and I didn't mean to do's! They are meaningless unless you mean it! I'm sorry Sheridan. I am so tired of your face! You make me sick. I am leaving now and please stay away from me! I don't want to see you or hear you ever again. You have ruined my life! Go find someone else to hurt!" With that, Luis turned around and walked away leaving a stunned and hurt Sheridan behind. He didn't turn around and see her almost faint from the sobs that took her. She was devastated by Luis cruel words. Luis was feeling very angry until he reached his house and then he felt guilty about what he had done. Sure, Sheridan had made a mistake by arresting him, but she had fixed it. The suspension was Julian's doing anyway. Sheridan had tried to fix that too. Sam had told him she had. The only problem was that Alistair had made it all but impossible for her to do anything. He shrugged his shoulders. Oh well! He would tell her he was sorry the next time he saw her. She was probably off fuming at him because he had not let her speak her mind.
The next day at the Crane mansion.................
Sheridan had not slept all night. Luis' words still rang in her head. He had been so angry. She had never seen such hatred in his eyes. She had to fix this and now. As she walked into Julian's study, she ran into Pilar dusting in there. Maybe Sheridan could get Luis to soften up through Pilar. "Hi Pilar," Sheridan said as she came in the room. Pilar looked up and Sheridan was taken aback by what she saw in Pilar's eyes. They were not the warm eyes of the woman Sheridan knew so well. The woman who had all but raised her and Ethan. They were the eyes of a stranger. Cold and uninviting. "Excuse me Miss Crane," Pilar said,"I will get out of your way so you can use this room." Sheridan was hurt by the coldness in Pilars voice. "Pilar?" Sheridan called after her,but Pilar left without a word. Although she had spoken almost nothing, Sheridan was hurt by her actions. Tears sprang to her eyes and she stumbled to Julian's desk. If Luis would not listen to her, she would write him a letter and make him understand how sorry she was. She grabbed paper out of Julian's top desk drawer and began to look for a pen. As she opened the top drawer, a funny flesh colored mask caught her eye. She took it out and almost dropped it when she saw a very familiar face staring up at her with empty eyes. It was Luis! Confusion set in then. Why would Julian have a mask of Luis in his desk? Then it hit her and the enormity of the truth set in. Julian had hired someone to impersonate Luis and had planned for her to over hear it. It all fell into place then. That was how Luis could seem to be two different people. The Luis who she had fallen in love with. The man who was so sweet and caring. The other Luis she had seen on the docks that night had been hired to make her believe he was bad. Oh and it had worked. She knew now that her father and Julian would stop at nothing to ruin her life. Now she had all but ruined Luis life too. Then another thought hit her. Luis really had only wanted to help her when he had flown to Paris to save her. He must care about her too. She had to find him and show him this mask and make him see that she had reason to act the way she had. As she ran out of the study, she almost knocked Pilar over. "Sorry," Pilar murmmered under her breath. "Wait!" Sheridan shouted and went on to explain everything that had happened and why she had done what she had. When she finished her story, Pilar pulled her into a big hug and told her to go and find Luis. Pilar watched as Sheridan ran out the door. She was probably crazy to encourage this relationship knowing that Alistair would cause more trouble, but she saw the feeling between those two and she remembered what they felt like.
The Lopez-Fitzgerald house..........
Theresa opened the door to find Sheridan Crane there. She almost shut the door in her face. She was the reason they had to move. She had ruined everything. Now there was no way Luis would ever allow her near Ethan. She knew that Mama had taught them to be polite though and she allowed Sheridan into the front room and went to get Luis. Sheridan looked around at all the boxes in here. The poor family was being thrown out of their own home and it was all her fault. She glanced up then just as Luis came in the room. Theresa had not told him who was here to see him and if she had, he would have told her to throw her out. But, this was better. Now he had the pleasure of escorting the little ice princess out of his home and it still was for a few more days! "I told you I never wanted to see you again Sheridan!" Luis said in a calm angry voice, "What part of never didn't you understand?" "Luis," Sheridan said rushing to get a word in the conversation,"I need to show you something. It will explain why I behaved the way I did. I was so wrong about you. I knew in my heart that it was not possible you were not the man you seemed, but my eyes told me otherwise." Luis took her by the arm none to gently and pulled her to the door. "Sheridan, I might have cared a while ago, but now I couldn't care less what you have to say or show me. Now get the hell out of my house and stay the hell out of my life." Luis snarled. With that, he opened the door and pushed her out. As he did, she dropped the bag she had the mask in. He slammed the door behind her and when she rang the bell, tears streaming down her face, he growled, "Get the hell away from me!" Sheridan felt hysteria take her. She walked away in a haze of tears. She knew he would find the bag, but he wouldn't care what it meant. She walked down to the pier and collapsed in tears in a heap right there on the pier. She didn't even care who saw her. She had lost the one man who truly didn't want her for her money or her name. She should have known he would never use her. She didn't hear the men approach from behind. Suddenly she was tied up and tossed over the edge of the pier into the water. She struggled to keep her head above water. It was impossible since she was tied and she couldn't breath. She felt her life leaving her and her last conscious thought was of Luis. His beautiful eyes looking at her shining with love. The way she remembered him before all this had happened.
The pier............
Luis knew that Sheridan had come this way. After he had thrown her out, he had heard her sobs through the door and it had taken all the will power he possessed not to open the door and tell her he was sorry and to pull her into his arms. When he heard her leave, he had glanced down and seen the bag she had been carrying. He picked it up and curiosity had gotten the better of him and he had opened it to receive the shock of his life. He found his own face starring up at him from the bag. He didn't quite know what it meant until his mother had come home and filled him in. He had been shocked that Alistair and Julian would stoop that low and hurt Sheridan so much in the process. That was when he had come here to find her. Now he was beginning to think he was wrong and she had not come down here, when a movement in the water caught his eye. Someone was in the water and struggling. He didn't think twice before he dove in. He pulled the persons head above the water, and came face to face with the woman he was looking for. She gulped in air in a big gasp and all but fainted against him. "Sheridan?" Luis asked,"Oh my God! Are you ok? What happened? Did you fall in?" Sheridan didn't answer and Luis swam to the shore under the pier. When he picked her up in the shallow water, he realized she was tied up. Now he understood. "Roger and Pierre?" he asked and she nodded yes. He carried her a ways up the beach and sat down with her on his lap. He held her close and she snuggled up against his neck with her hand over his heart. She was safe now. Even though he hated her, he had saved her. But, when he had pulled her out he had not known it was her. It made her sad. "Luis" she asked, "Did you want to throw me back in now and let me die? I know you hate me. Saving me must have been hard." Luis jerked her back so hard that she almost bit her tongue. "I would never let you die!" Luis said "I found the mask and Mama came home and explained to me what had happened. I am so sorry for everything I said to you. I wanted to hurt you and I see I succeeded. I didn't mean one thing I said to you in the last few days. Please forgive me?" He held her away from him and she wanted to be back in his arms. "Your apologizing to me?" she asked,"I am the one who should apologize! I forgive you but the question is can you forgive me?" Luis didn't say a word. He dipped his head down to meet her lips. His tender kiss spoke more then any words could have. He moved his hands up to cup her face in his hands and she felt his tongue flick out to trace over her lips. She opened her mouth to invite his tongue to invade her mouth and his tongue slid between her open lips and his tongue met hers and slipped slowly over it. They kissed deeply and when they came up for air, Luis stood up and said,"Let me take you home." "No!" Sheridan shouted,"I never want to go back to that place as long as I live!" "Ok" Luis said,"then let me take you to my house." Again Sheridan refused. She didn't want to intrude. No matter how much Luis insisted, she refused to budge. Luis had learned the lesson well, that fighting with Sheridan when she had made up her mind was useless.
They ended up at Grace's Bed and Breakfast. Sheridan rented a room. As they waited for Grace to get the room key, Sam came in. "Oh Luis!" Sam said when he came in and saw them,"Just the man I needed to see. I talked to the mayor and he said that Sheridan's phone call yesterday and the one just a little while ago made him see that you are a good officer and he has told me to reinstate you effective now!" Sam handed Luis his gun and badge back and shook his hand. Sheridan looked at him afraid that he might say no thanks knowing that it had come from her. He didn't and they went up to her room. Grace showed her everything she needed and left them alone with a sly smile on her face. She had no other guests staying at the moment and she had made sure they both knew that. She pulled a reluctant Sam out of the B and B and back to their house. Sam wanted to stay and talk to Luis after he got Sheridan settled. Grace knew that Luis was not going anywhere tonight!
Back in the room, Luis was staring at Sheridan as if he had never seen her before. Grace had been kind enough to bring some of her own things over with them for Sheridan when she found out what had happened and why Sheridan didn't want to go back home. Sheridan needed a bath and told Luis she was going to take a long soak. He watched her as she walked out of the room. My God, he was in love with her! It hit him right there and then. He smiled to himself as he thought of her down the hall all alone in that big tub he had seen when Grace showed it to them on the tour. He smiled all the way to the bathroom. He knew there was no lock because Grace had told them as much. There was a little occupied sign you hung on the door knob when you went in. Luis opened the door, stepped in, shut the door behind him and almost spoiled the mood by laughing out loud at the expression on Sheridan's face. She sat in the big old fashioned claw foot tub up to her neck in bubbles. She gasped in shock as Luis strolled as innocent as you please into the bathroom."Luis" she squeaked in shock,"What are you doing?" Luis unbuttoned his shirt and tossed it on the floor. He unbuckled his belt and unsnapped his jeans. He slowly slid the zipper down, watching her reaction. She couldn't keep her eyes away from his hand. He slid his pants off and threw them to the floor as well. Sheridan's eyes nearly popped out of her head as he slid his fingers into the waist band of his briefs and slowly slid them down and tossed them away! Her eyes were the size of saucers then as he stood naked in front of her eyes. He advanced towards the tub and stopped just in front of her letting her take him all in. She couldn't take her eyes off of his manhood which stood up at attention at the idea that she was naked under all those bubbles. He reached out his hand and put her hand onto his manhood and encouraged her to move it over him. She didn't need much coaching and she began to move on her own. She was so surprised when Luis had walked in. When he had taken his clothes off, she had almost died of shock. Now all she knew was that she wanted him. She loved this man so much. Now it was Luis turn to be shocked. Sheridan leaned up and suddenly put her mouth in place of her hand. She drove him to the edge of insanity and almost over the edge. Luis could not take it anymore and pulled away from her and slid in the tub on top of her. He came down just where he wanted to. His manhood was just at the entrance to her. She looked up at him with shining eyes and the love he felt for her was mirrored in her eyes. He entered her then with their eyes still connected and he saw the intense pleasure fill her eyes. He slowly filled her pushing to the limit. She put her hands up to grasp his hips and pull him down to her. He kissed her then, letting his tongue match the rhythm of his thrusts. He took her to the edge of the world and fell with her into the depths of complete satisfaction. The water began to get cold then as they lay there after. He got out and helped her out. He dried her off then with gentle hands. She put her hand on his shoulders and when he stood up again, she pulled him to her. She kissed him then. Her tongue traced a circle around his lips and he opened his mouth to give her access. She dipped her tongue in and then just when his tongue touched hers, darted out. His tongue tried to follow hers back out to her mouth, but when his tongue moved to follow, it crashed into hers on the way back in. She kissed him then with a passion that surprised and pleased him. He picked her up and carried her back to her room.
When they got there, he placed her on the bed and came down on top of her. He put a knee between hers and moved her legs apart. Suddenly he was being pushed over, and Sheridan was straddling him looking very pleased with herself. She pushed his hands away from her when he tried to push her off and back under him. She playfully pinned his hands above his head. Her breast just touched his lips and he nipped playfully and then took it into his mouth and his tongue laved her. She arched her back and let him love her for a while. Then she sat back up and rose up and came back down taking his manhood into her as she came back down. Luis was too surprised to react at first. She rode him then and he put his hands on her hips moving her to him. When they both finished again, she collapsed onto his chest and they both didn't want to move. Luis looked at her shining eyes and reached up a hand to wipe some bubbles from her hair. "You have to make everything a contest" he said playfully. "You are so much trouble! But, I think I like this kind of trouble!" Sheridan's eyes danced with joy. "I think we both win here!" she said. Luis answer was a deep kiss as he felt his body stir in her once again. He flipped her over pinning her under him once again and pulled her hands over her head. He made love to her again and he knew that their love was strong and that they were now an invincible couple. No one would dare to take on the two most stubborn people ever known to man. Together they were a force to be reckoned with!
