MUSIC: Death on the Snowfield
Why is this morning so dumb? Well it isn't really. Very much anyway.. more like I Am Dumb This Morning. What happened is this:
I got up at 7.05 sharp, and hit the snooze, and woke up again at 7.15, at which point i was fully rested, and all ready to go to Bennett, and run a mile or so. I had it all planned out from the night before:
and as you can see, this takes exactly one hour, which means theoretically if i wanted to push it, i could get up as late as 8.15 and still make it to class if i cut out a bunch of eating and only ran a mile.
But at one point something went wrong. I was turning it over in my head this morning at 7.30, while i was still in bed, pondering what to do, when at one point i fell asleep (kick self mentally). Well i have to make a point of leaping out of bed to turn off my alarm, instead of reaching over and doing it, hehe, thereby not running the risk of falling asleep.
I'm listening to all these remixed versions of these songs, from FFVI:
Devil's Lab (Acid Rock Mix) is a great rendition of an pretty catchy tune,
Kefka Goes West is pretty cool, it's a cool blend of the Veldt theme and Kefka's theme,
Terra in Black is a neat Terra remix that reminds me of the Terminator a bit,
Atomizer, hehe, guess which theme THAT is! They did a good job with 'Atomizer'.
Back to Towne is a relaxed, piano version of 'Kids run through the city corner,'
Terra in Black is a neat Terra remix that reminds me of the Terminator a bit,
Arab Painting, guess whose theme THIS is. Yes, it is Relm's! Easily on the top ten list of themes in this game, 'Arab Painting' brings it all back.
Eres des Points is my favorite, it's a rap version of Terra's theme, done INCREDIBLY well. I'm not sure what language it's in though, i'd want it translated, of course. I guess it's Japanese.
and finally, Death on the Snowfield! This is my second favorite, it's a beautifully performed rendition of the opening theme to Final Fantasy 6, better i think than the orchestrated version from the 'Grand Finale' disc, but the comparison is a little contrived because there's a little bit of overlap, because the opening theme is actually a few songs. But still, Death on the Snowfield remains forever awesome.
