MOOD: fun fun.
MUSIC: I Can Be Your Friend! (Veggietales)
Yeah, we're all pretty different, some are skinny, some are stout,
But the inside is the part that we're supposed to care about.
Aye, that's where we've got feelin's that are verry much th' same.
And so instead of 'weirdo', i thing friend's a better name!"
Hmm, i think a recap is in order..
The Week Previous:
I went to Matt's House, this is the one from camp 2 years ago who i still keep in touch with. Like last year, we kicked off the week with a day at WaterWorld, which was cool; his dad was there to harrass us (all in good fun, Mr J!) and his little brother was off with his friend John, so we got the park to ourselves. It was cool. A note on the new ride "Storm," it's decent, that's all i'll say.
Last year when i visited, we sort of went on a CD-burning spree, well we didn't do that this year. On Wednesday morning the family had appointments, so i stayed home and burned his entire collection onto a CD. So that was good. (with his permission, of course! :-P)
We watched a lot of movies... on tuesday we went up to Blockbuster first thing, and rented Father of the Bride, and Just Married. I dunno why the theme, don't ask ME, his idea. Good movies though! Just Married we were able to watch it with TV-Guardian running -- it auto-censors and auto-euphemizes all the bad and questionable words -- so... the poor couple just couldn't seem to have 'hugs' at all during their honeymoon :-P Ahh.. And uh, the Steve Martin 'Father of the Bride' one was pretty funny.. pretty sad as well. We also saw Beautiful Mind (Matt liked that one a LOT) and Top Gun, and Hunt for Red October, both of which i'd never seen before. So that was cool. Lots of movies that week.
Also we went out distributing AVON catalogues.. that got us out of the house at least :-P No, we were out more than that, we did Max Jr's which is this classy burger joint, and Classics which is this spiffy ice cream place. It was all good -- oo yeah. Also, we mini-golfed up at the mini-golf place, and Matt (ladies man that he is) got 2 lovely young ladies to join our group - total strangers, gee whiz :-P But we had fun.
And there was youth group, that ruled, we had a game of volleyball going, and i was on my game today for some reason.. So i'm just going to list names and mneumonics here so i'll remember them, no other reason: Dustin, Ian, Dan going to Oregon and knows German, Ivy from camp, Chris school at Alaska, ugh, i'm forgetting some of their names..
Then, Saturday we met up with my mum at Park Meadows Mall, and we did a little garage-sailing (i got me a CB radio!) on the way back home.
So that brings me to now:
This week i just have been packing on and off, and of course there was Home-group on monday, and there'll be Youth-group on friday. The usual. The LAST of the usual, i'll add.
Jacob said his first words! well, actually, he sorta figured out how to say, "DA!" and so he says it all the time. We're convinced he hasn't got a clue what he's saying. All this time Tom has been trying to get him to say "TOM!" But no luck yet :-P
