MOOD: tired, i was up late.
MUSIC: Pre-Ex-Girlfriend (Five Iron Frenzy)

Twas a pretty relaxing week, like most of these weeks here in July;

On the fourth, which was a friday i guess? Bill and Ramona (friends of Jack and Mom) came down, Brittney came as well, and we had burgers and these beer sausages and macaroni salad and whatever else you have on the Fourth of July. Those sausages were pretty good, i'll say. Brittney and Pam played Mario 3 on the Nintendo for a good while, then the kids all went in and watched Spirited Away in the master bedroom.

Oh that reminds me, Jack and Mom went out to dinner on the third, so we rented Spirited Away on the Pay-per-view, and naturally Tom taped it :P We're all such pirates. But it's okay. And it was in English, what's up with that?? Oh well.

on the morning of independence day, Dave and I went over to the Chapel in the Hills parsonage, and got in the youth group's 'float' which was actually the van, tricked out with American flags and fingerpaint and everything. So the youth group here was in the town parade, it was cool.

MUSIC: You Can't Handle This (Five Iron Frenzy)

But then on Sunday, after church, everyone left to go to Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je. So now i'm here more or less alone with Mom and Jack, and Bradley and little Jacob. It was wierd the first night; i guess i'm used to having a roommate, (even over the summer Dave's on the bottom bunk) who stays up at all hours and keeps me up too, so i walked into my room and it was very very very quiet and dark, and i missed Dave. But then i slapped myself and went to bed :P

I dunno that anything else has happened, other than me working for Jack now, starting Saturday, and writing the occasional 'email', and reading things, and taking care of the kids, and shopping at Albertson's, !! that's where i got this wireless FM radio that weighs even less than your mouse ball i GUARANTEE, for like 4 bucks. I was impressed, except it gets crappy reception. oh well *shrug*.

MUSIC: The Day We Killed (Five Iron Frenzy)

into mass graves we shoveled lives / a massive pipeline for the lies
a past so vast with genocide / and ignorance we hide behind
You say that we are done with this / turn blind eyes and still dismiss
chalk it up as something passed / and still create a lower caste
on broken backs we build empires / twisting spines for the steeple spires
how many people can you kill? / look at your twenty dollar bill
Do you see the third world poverty / inside the lines of your country?
And now to treaties we are loyal / but tear them up when we smell oil
