MUSIC: The musical sound of the laughter of little children

Wow. If there could be one word to characterize this week, i guess it would be FOREVER. The days've been long and drawn out, despite being pretty eventful. The day i came here seems a MONTH ago, though it wasn't.

That day was Monday; there were lines in the Pittsburgh airport, hours long. It was incredible, there were 2 huge colossal lines, one for boarding passes, the other for security. And guess what, we missed our flight. That's right. Fifteen or so minutes late. So, i did the usual, buy some books from the book dealer, in this case i bought George Orwell's "Nineteen Eighty-Four," and Harriet Beecher Stowe's "Uncle Tom's Cabin." We got a flight at one, cause we missed the one at eleven, which of course was cool, and we got on with our nifty little stand-by tickets. I slept literally the whole flight. Easy to do cause i was beside 2 complete strangers, and of course, look at the time of day on the previous entry. I didn't get a whole lot of sleep the night before.

But finally i got to my mom! All was rejoicing. That day i just chilled and moved into my new room, got to know little Jacob, and boy! is Bradley growing up! Monday was slowpaced but also fastpaced. Maybe i was just tired.

Tuesday, I wrote letters to the Millers, Stephen and Jessica from Idrahaje, and Katie. Today was sort of a day where i sat back, chilled, took in Colorado, from the loft window, then just decided to watch the Golden Goose video for the first time! My bros + sister REALLY enjoyed that. Apart from that; general housework, and taking care of baby took up a lot of today. Actually a lot of these days, as well.

On Wednesday, i got up with the sun, (boy does that feel good!) and waited till the businesses in town were open then applied for jobs at the Kwik Fill, Luigi's Pizza, and the Wondervu restaurant. As yet, no reply. Of course i told them i couldn't start till the 30th, so that would make sense enough. A lot of these days i've read a LOT. i feel like i am SOAKING up books.

Thursday, Pam's friends Alex and Coulton came, and i got recruited to take them on a hike up to the field up over the hill. It was actually a dried up lake, a dry hollow surrounded by Aspens. It's usually pretty beautiful and serene, only THIS time, the drought is going away and the pond is about 2 feet deep like it always HAD been before i knew about it. I tell you, that pond was just BEAUTIFUL, specially with Mt. Theodin rising above it in the distance. It was a perfect day (besides the intermittent thunderstorms, but those happen ALL the time. Bring on the rain! :) )

it was on my walk that i started to think of an OO design for a Zork-like text adventure game that i've been meaning to sit down and write. It seems really simple, in my head and what i've been able to put on paper. Ka ching, i win!

Friday - i don't remember this day too much: I remember actually this was when Nick was here + he saw my GG video as well, and also Mum trimmed my hair, and i went running with Dave, which turned out to be harder than i'd imagined! The shortage of air left me with side-aches and all that, it was horrendous! Dang, i gotta get back in shape! :P

Saturday, by this time Mum had spackled the kitchen wall in cream colors -- nice! And Jack's sister and family came up; Kris and Bruce, their 11-yr old Angie, and their 14-yr old Braden. They'd come from visiting the Grand Canyon, the Badlands, geez, they'd been all over! I got to see some of the pictures, they even gave the Crazy Horse sculptor guy a ride! How sweet, eh? Tonite we set up the pool table, aligned it, laid the felt, oh didn't i mention? The pool table was Jack's father's day gift from Mum. I'm afraid to play it, i dunno if i'm worthy of such a brand-new table! ;P Well. Anyway today i finished "1984."
