I got to college today, and tried to move into Drew. It was awful, they got all my stuff into Ferrin first! I had to carry it all out. I eventually got it in alright. The West wall was composed of horizontal bamboo slats, like Vietnam blinds. I was impressed. The kids could crawl in, anytime they wanted, which was cool; i got to play with some of the Young Life kids, in a type of football game on this cement court that i couldn't figure out just WHY we were there. But eventually they migrated to the ballfields, and rivers and swamps, between Ferrin and Drew.
Once in Lane, I discovered everyone's class portraits hanging in random spots; even in the windows of the HUD dorms! Then these dudes came after us. We were on the highway, and then we saw it com onto the on-ramp: this onkin huge backhoe, piloted by the devil. I dunno, but i guessed he didn't want me to make it to college. I sorta outmaneuvered him, took some backroads, eventually just got out and ran, down and up dirt stairs, man it was a mess. Eventually i lost it and, i ducked inside my room in Drew; Jesse, Dustin, and Jeremy were waiting for me; They'd set up all my stuff for me, phew. But i still had to get Tom's help to set up my bed, it was so stinkin complicated and difficult. You needed to unfold like thirty things. I fell asleep right then and there.

we're going parasailing today!
12:24 pm
We tried to get into the Hatteras Lighthouse earlier, but no dice; the line was booked; we're gonna go back at like 5:40. For now, we're at this watersports place, Christian-owned, and we're in line for some wave runners. Wow, family vacations are friggin expensive! I dunno how the Fabulous Five are gonna pull off a trip 'round the country, we'd have to be loony. Like, eat frugal, or something,.. and what would we do on our grand tour? Theme parks, grand canyon, jet skis, camp in the woods perhaps? :) ..like last summer, hehe. Oh man, none of us better get hitched before this grand dream plays out. That'd suck like nothing else. Of course Sam's already half-married already :P (just teasin' there, Sam)

MUSIC: Somebody to Love (Queen)
We took an hour and rented some Wave Runners and I went out with Pam at first on this Yamaha 700. Dave went on the 650, and Keith and Candice went on the other 650. She was all "scared" :D so i had to take it slow. I kept it under 15 or something. We were allowed to trade off twice, so Pam wanted to go with Candi, and I took Keith, and as soon as i had him i went RACING back out to sea, top speed, for like a half hour or so, doing donuts and slaloming and doing 180's. I even threw Keith :P He loved it :D Then (before this time, Pam joined Dave, and Candice got to go it alone.. Dave gave Pam a wild ride..) after a while, Keith went to Candice's boat and I took Pam, and I didn't let up this time, I wen't pretty fast and pretty hard and she was screaming the whole time, she loved it :D Now, we're getting ice cream!
8:08 pm
That ice cream was good; i was smart and remembered to get the regular kind that time. It was pretty expensive though. On a road trip, i don't think ice cream parlors would be a great idea, a whole lot of the time. We could get quarts or gallons at the supermarket, then eat them on the front porches in front of the ice cream parlors! I'm smart. :)
I swear though, Vicki gets cappuccino flavored, every single time. At Ben and Jerry's she got Cappuccino Swirl or something, in Ocracoke she got a dish of Cappuccino and today it was Cappucino Chip. Subtle variation on a theme?
So anyways.. we ordered out Pizza from that place near the theater, it's pretty decent. Now, Cori's watchin one of her shows on her TV; I didn't know she had her own TV! What's up with that? But anyway, i made Reese's butter today. The last batch was back when Stephen, JW, Andrew and I went to the Wild Things game; before that actually. That's when you get 40 oz. jar of peanut butter, and a pound bag of Reese's Pieces, and when you've used up about half the peanut butter, refill it with the Pieces, and mix REALLY well. It's so good to chow on every once in a while. If you're already inclined to spooning Peanut Butter straight out of the jar, like me, this is like the best snack, easy to make, just 5 bucks usually for the whole quart jar. Good for dipping Nutrigrain bars in, or bananas, or celery, or, ooo! Wheat Crackers!! Hehe. I gotta brush my teeth, the Pieces can't be very good for the teeth :D
11:05 pm
other happenings today: bonfire on the beach, s'mores, burying Keith in the sand, watching 'whose line is it anyway?'
