Whoa gosh. Yeah i got up a few minutes late today *yawn* Got a shower, ate some fruit + cereal, and a donut. We're right now going to NYC - we planned this last night, we're getting money and subway cards + all that, and going to see the sights today.
There's a Central Park group, a Wall Street Group, and my group, the Times Square slash Broadway group. A-a-and we're off.
We went all over Broadway/Times Square and decided on seeing Gypsy, a Bernadette Peters musical.

It had no character development at all. Except well, the one redeming character, the one you were rooting for because the rest were either A, driven by their insane goals in their insane little world, B, weak brownnosers, or C, side characters, unimportant. The ONE character that you ROOTED for, because you thought she would certainly transcend her oppression, fight the man, and burst free of her curse, DIDN'T. She because a STRIPPER. It was like character undevelopment. Which, now that i ponder over these things... hmm... that's not that bad of an idea. It's very um, retro. I can't think of any good words right now, nevermind.
Then uh, there's this shady business about the Anvil, and such things? It's an outrage. Frankie what's his name, he's going down. It's downright uncivil, antisocial, pigheaded, unethical, immoral, and furthermore stupid. He's a tool. We're gonna have to curb his dealings. He's buried the ANVIL for crying out loud. It's beginning to pass from community memory, it's been in hiding for so many freaking months.
New York City - it's pretty cool. And it's filthy and i can't justify being a tourist there. Except of course to see a good Broadway show, i'd go back in a second. And dinner today was less exciting, though delicious. I had some italian-sort-of-style dinner at a restaurant called *America*. Good stuff. Good Eggplant sauce stuff. Yum.
On the subway, at a train station, were these guys that were playing the steel drums, except they were playing Benny Goodman's "In The Mood", and a few other cool ones, and they were EXCELLENT, rhythmically and otherwise. I totally wanted to swing dance right there. Except no one else did, so i felt like a tool. But still they were that good! ;)
