MOOD: kinda sconed from being up too late but eh,,! cool i guess
MOVIE: just watched Logan's Run (1977)

That movie was such a great idea! It was just the neatest idea, its about this guy who lives in the future in this enourmous dome city, and everyone lives in it, and he's running from the authorities who wanna kill him, cause he's approaching 30, at which age you're supposed to die. And he was always the one who was supposed to be killing people, except now its his turn, and he doesn't like it so much :-P So, yeah. This movie had some typical 70's sci fi special effects (i.e. 12 dollar budget) and typical cheap 70's acting, but there was this one dude who played the Old Man in the movie who they found outside the city. He RULED! Maybe we were just sconed a little too much, but Brian and I thought he was the greatest thing to happen to the movie :-P But uh, anyways. Here's some little snippets, some quotables, sort of:

Logan and Jessica escape the flood, and enter the ice cave, and are greeted by a tall silver robot who has this voice like the ghost of christmas present:
Robot: Welcome humans! I am ready for you. Fish, plankton, seagreens, and protein from the sea. Fresh as harvest day. Overwhelming, am i not? Are you, too, startled? Am i too removed from your ken?
Logan Five: What.. who are you?
Robot: I am more than machine, or man. More than a fusion of the two. Don't you agree? Wait for the winds. Then, my birds sing, and the deep grottos whisper my name... '. . . Box. . . Box. . . Box. . .'

they step out of the really freaky ice cave, and stand blinking at the glorious sunrise. both of them notice the sun:
Jessica Six: What is it?
Logan Five: I don't know.      Whatever it is.. it's warm!

Jessica, Logan, and the Old Man wade through the D.C. reflecting pool, and the old man comments,
Oh, I used to come fishing here, you know, but eh, somehow all the fish died oh, long time ago now.. nothing sadder than a dead fish..

old man laughs and points at campfire
That's worth its weight in gold!

The Old Man (terrific actor!) was played by Peter Ustinov, and you can click the link to look at the Internet Movie Database, and see what all movies he's in, and see just how awesome he is :-P he is still ACTING, as I write he's involved in two pictures. He's had like 84 pictures since 1955. What a strange one. A good actor though.

Hey ok, you know what you gotta do, is go to Greg's website (aka 'Chad') and get to his links page at least, and look at the Pop/Soda controversy thing, and it makes it all SO clear who is coolest >:D ALright.. that's enough outta me. I got to get to bed i think cause it's just that late. And it's finals week for Stephen. (wierdo >P) SO yeah.. yawn.. num, num eh,, mmgg SNORE.. .. SNORE.. ..
