MOOD: awesome. all is just so.
MUSIC: my goodness. for the first time in dozens of hundreds of seconds, there's no music to speak of!
Neat. I got busted for open hall by Julie! I was in Jenn's room harrassing my roommate from her screen name. She wasnt even in the room, the sneak! It was only ten minutes past, and i didnt even know open hall hours were till ten on wendesdays. Dumb. I feel bad cause Katie lost open hall too. This is quite the week. I spent nights on my cs project. The day i had to turn it in, i woke up to slim shady, cause Trillian's event timer plays a random song from my list really loud, at 6:40 am, so that's what i got, and yeah i JUMPED outta bed like a rabid rabbit
MUSIC: Stan (Eminem and Elton John)
so i got a cool+early start on the second sunny day this year, "it started out low, then it started to grow" so to speak, it just got better all day :) Hmm, It was a very good day but i think a more eventful productive day was yesterday (the 15th). Yesterday, i turned in my housing slip and registered for classes and completed my financial aid package thingy deal. I got to talk to Dad, for a nice half hour or so.. he's fighting a cold, and there's an open house that day. We're selling our house btw, due to our new family :) Getting a new one, a county north up near Mercer supposedly.
So i'm talking to my roommate here. All about his missions trip experiences. How God uses deficiencies in us to open up doors.. Such as, grant here needs chapel credit BAD, so he went to an alternate today, put on by SMP i think. Going, he was like, oh i'm going for the credit, but when there, he was all like, hmm, this is good, interesting. And it seems like God presses things on his heart, and his previous missions trips happened like that too: He just sort of went, without knowing why, and they all ended up being really important events. to quote him, "..it's just obvious that somethings going on but i just dont know yet."
past week was a hair-tearer though. Sunday night, i went out to the Mac lab (doing the project, etc) and i came back temporarily to get my meal card at like 11:50, and Grant was like, oh you had a call, its a girl, and i was like hm? who would call me at quarter to midnight.. oh too late now. So then next morning i got to Modernity with Reid, and right immediately we had a prayer for Amanda Rider, who was in our class apparantly but had gashed up her arm last night, and i was like hmm, i've heard of this particular Amanda but i can't put my finger on where from. And i had this nagging feeling. So then at chapel Tiff was like hey Aaron did you see Chelsea, and i was like yea, then i saw Chels had this broken arm, and busted up forehead, and i about freaked out, and apparantly she took a spill outside of Frost, and went over the handlebars onto her head, and i was like 'holy crap people die like that' all inside, and sure shook me up that whole week. Freaked out. Gee whiz does God protect his children! So supposedly she went to see the doctor days ago but i havent been able to get back to her about it.. She seems like shes getting along fine so i forced myself to rest easy. She's die hard, i tell ya :)
MUSIC: Spinning Wheel (Blood, Sweat, and Tears)
So. Yeah. Also on tuesday i gave blood. a pint! that's a lot, out of the typical 8 pints that are in my body. I went to work straight afterwards, but i was okay. i guess i can operate well with low oxygen or something. i had this huge band-aid on my arm, and i thought it would scare away customers, but then again, if they're eating food from the grille, who cares about sanitation :-P
Hmm. What else. I turned in Project4 today, did i say that? It reads a star map data file, and then draws a map of those stars for you. It's neat, the prof gave us one that is the big dipper constellation. Thats Ursa Major for all you smarter than average astronomy people out there :-P Hey the moon was full last night! It was a clear night too, it was so great, but not the greatest for watching the stars.
Grateful Dead is kind of a weird band. Apparantly they're "really cool" or something. I'm not too into it. They dont seem as if they have anything going for them. I mean the music sounds just so generic, and the lyrics don't speak to me.. so i bet i'm offending a ton of my friends who are secretly Grateful Dead closet fans, so i suppose i apologize. Grateful Dead does not rock. I must have missed that era.
MUSIC: Star Wars Disco
Wow what a sweet song. See you can just judge my critique of Grateful Dead, based on the fact that i find Star Wars Disco cool. Also up there is Ben Folds and anything big band or swing, and a lotta classic rock especially Steppenwolf, as well as progressive-punk-rock-ska like the Supertones or Superchick or even so far as to include Arrested Development, which rocks house. I believe i was listening to 'Mr. Wendal' on 6714.
MUSIC: Steven's Last Night in Town (Ben Folds)
A note about the new 'look': I did it this way cause it's easier to write pages this way. I love it. I will probably change it again at least once before another 300 days go by. Like i will find a way to make the history thing not so freaking huge as i write and write and write and write and write and write. And maybe I will change something else for no reason. Like i ought to put my email up there. Then it will rule, and i will get mounds of emails. Whoop dee. If you're reading this, could you drop me an email real quick, so i have some idea who reads my banterings. Or you could just tell me in person. That's also cool. Actually it's more cool but i wont let on. And of course if you are the 9th caller, you win our special trip to Gordon college to meet ME!!
Lets be frank. I wore a pink shirt to Golden Goose. I'm a republican. I ate a veggie burger, once, and i even had half a zesty veggieburger. I watch strong bad emails. I listen to Weird Al all the time. I have a Marvin the Martian mug. I say 'agyain' cause i'm from PA. I travel in packs. No wait, i hardly ever do. I dream the unimaginable and i imagine the unheard of. I hear things, so check for bugs. I can swim but choose not to. I say spoo even though that's not a word. I dance to songs in my head, and i have no rhythm on top of that. I stare at far off planets, from the middle of the road. I can't get over post it notes. Lets not dance around the obvious: I'm such a groovy guy :)
I mean you could do worse!
well, i do wish we could chat longer but.. i'm having an old friend for dinner
