Exodus! 6936

12:50 at night

We just had our first meeting of Exodus, deliverance from bondage to sexual sin; a dream that was on Steve B's heart over here. Steve and I weren't sure how it'd turn out, it was a shot in the dark but it was great; we had a 20-guy turnout. After about an hour of praying and discussing, we've put together structure, with meeting times and what 'leadership' would mean in terms of relationships of our group to each other and us to the campus, and mission and focus.

"When the law is against you, argue the facts. When the facts are against you, argue the law. When theyre both against you, stand on the table and scream for justice!"

A's WIN! it was awesome. Top of the ninth, Boston is at Oakland, first game in the American League playoffs. Jesse is going to sleep, and we hear across the yard, wild cheering from Bromley. Jeremy gets us all to go to mlb.com, so we watch the game from there, in their little pitch-by-pitch Flash viewer. It was so nerve wrecking, for like fifteen whole minutes watching on this crappy Flash viewer. Then at the bottom of the ninth Oakland brought it back to a tie, 4-4, and we all went nuts, and grabbed our shoes and all biked over to the big screen tv at Gillies!

and it was packed... public safety was sitting there watching too (they're not gonna lock the place down with thirty people watching a game like that) So anyways Jeremy's an A's fan? Yeah how much guts does it take to step into the mix with all us sox fans, eh? Ok, i'm a poser sox fan, i say that so Bohall doesn't get on me. :-P But they went until like Boston had bases loaded and 2 outs in bottom of the 12th, it was 'wicked cool.' Not satisfying though, just a bunt by Hernandez and squeeze play to get Chavez home. Not satisfying at all. But the game was tense, oh we were so hyped up.

gnight...

Rat scum. There's a mouse in our dorm! something like 3 mice actually. This morning we were chasing it around, we got it to come out of its hole and we eventually trapped it in our storage closet! And duct taped all the seams. Then this afternoon we gathered like 8 of us to catch it and we put it in this tin, then we got a nice cage for the little feller. Now we have a Drew Mouse!! Of JUSTICE!!! It needs a name now, and a defined purpose.. hmm...
