THE TWIN TOWERS
On September 11, 2001, terrorists hijacked two American planes and smashed them into these two buildings while two more planes were driven into the Pentagon and a field in Pennslyvania, taking THOUSANDS of INNOCENT lives and changing a nation and the world forever.
A view of the city at night, while rescue teams use giant spotlights to search for survivors among the ruble that once was the twin towers.
THE DESTRUCTION
Volunteers put out crosses to represent the people who
are still missing after the terrorist attacks.
A sign of Americans' resilience.
WE WILL NEVER FORGET.
AMERICA'S HEROES
Several rescue workers lost their lives while trying to rescue the trapped people in the first tower when the second plane hit.
American soldiers take a look at Lady Liberty; Good luck to all of our country's military as we progress into these days of the unknown.
ON A MORE PERSONAL NOTE
I was lucky enough to not be directly effected by these terrible acts, meaning I do not know anyone who was injured or killed in the attacks.
I offer my sentiments to all of those who were not as lucky as I.

I find that one thing that makes this all a little easier to bear, is the Lord's Prayer.  Now, don't get me wrong.  I don't mean to be preaching at anyone, I just found it to be comforting to hear lately.

I just recently found that a local radio station (KMOX 1120 AM) plays the song every day around 6:00 every morning, so I've made it a habit to listen to it before I go to school Thanks to Daddio for showing me this, even though you don't know you did.
Now, I don't really care whether you are Lutheran, Baptist, Catholic, Aetheist, or whatever, just read this and think about
what it says and if you can, listen to the actual song. I find it very comforting.
Our father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our tresspasses,
as we forgive those who tresspass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory,
forever.
Amen.
Thousands of fans took time out to respect Old Glory at the first night back at the ballparks. The American spirit will not be crushed by cowardly acts.
