| After (in my opinion) the fabulous Panic Room, Jodie Foster went on to produce and act in Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys. Risky title? Mabye but Good film? Yes Indeed! One wouldn't have thought that this would be an inciteful, funny and meaningful film, all at the same time. Kieren Culkin stars ( Yes brother of McCauley Culkin - They just keep reeling them off don't they ). Jena Malone, who played Jodie as her young Ellie Arroway in Contact also Stars. The last is Emile Hirsch, and together they make a cute little trio of friends. This is one of the best coming of age tales I have seen. Teenagers can relate to it as can adults beacuse it's set in the 70's. That's what I think is so clever about this film. It appeals to almost everyone. |

| Another aspect of the films that makes it that little bit better, is the animation by Todd McFarlane. Its so much fun, and it's nice to see something new and inventive in a film. The only downside I can think of about this movie is that way in which it was marketed and released. Those of you in America may have a slight idea of what this film is, However the rest of us in the world haven't even heard of it. If I wasn't a Jodie Fan I would not even no it existed, that is why I am writing this, to enlighten you all on the existence of such a FAB film. |

| All in all this film is, fun, new, innovative, exciting, funny, wierd, dark and a pleasure to watch. If I havent convinced you I urge you to check out the cool Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys website. For those of us in the rest of the world who might want to see this film, I dont know when or if it's going to be released on screen however I know that you can buy The DVD, it's well worth the money! |
| The performances from all the actors are touching and believable, extra credit goes to Jena Malone, who plays a very complicated character. The DVD is packed with special feature including some cool outakes, deleted scenes and great interviews. |
