Red Light!
We were looking out the window when we see crusty creeping his way out of jaguars with a tissue in his hand!!!!! Then we see a police car drive past with a policeman holding a bottle of beer in his hand!!! This is when it finally dawned on us that we where in Prague.
The stories of Praha!
Late night ambling!
''We know the way'' Tom said as they walk so far the wrong way because of Tom! ''Ok, the next bridge must be Charles Bridge''. Nope, not at all!
So we finally reach those stairs having already been there and listened to the moaning about how high they were before. We walk the top and discover one of the greatest sights in Prague,  the castle at night.
We certainly managed to ''find'' Prague that night.
Sparta Prague 0-2 Panethenaikos
Inside the ground, many things will remain in the mind. Firstly, did we see the entire population of Prague's police force in the ground that night? Secondly, the contrast as we see the mascot dancing round on the pitch! What was he!?! Thirdly, the spotting of Will was unbelievable and the ''great portrait picture'' that Ewan captured was quite superb! Must also mention those half time hot dogs! Yum!
''Just don't split up!'' were the words last said as we went to the football, Union Jack and all! So we come out and what do we do! First we go to McDonalds (any visit abroad wouldn't be complete without the McDonald's visit or 6), and then as we take a final photo, Adrian and Caroline walk off saying ''Catch us up!''. So we were left wondering whether they were going to wait for us or not! So we walk all the way through that park only to come across a stray dog! Back we go to the ground, and still no sign of those two but at least Tom could collect his hot chocolate! Then we finally decide to walk home, with Ewan moaning saying ''I can't eat and walk'' and leading to the even more famous phrase ''Just stop the moaning!!!''. Finally we get back to the hotel, only to find Adrian and Caroline have been sitting cosily in their room's watching tv for a good hour!
The Hotel
What can we say about the hotel! The amount of things that happened in here are numerous, but some of the main features will never be forgoten. The pictures were taken down the first night to create British Embassy, decorated with the Union Jack, football shirts and Tesco's bags, as well as Crusty complaints on the door. It lead some to 'feel sorry for the room'' though the creaters thought it was just like home! Then of course there was that toilet! With it's wonky floor it really was an experience and we still don't know what was out of that window! The lifts were very good, though exceeding the limited number of people was often risky!
Then there was the many events that took place! Of course, walking into a supposedly empty room only to find Tom in the cudboard was a shock, but an even bigger laugh went out as Crusty walked in just at
that moment, and the way Tom tried to turn over the channel as if we were flicking around really was a master stroke! The girls room was an experience, though there wasn't a lot left in their after certain members of the party had been in there! The football can never be forgotten outside the room and the noise that was caused woke up some neighbours leading to the line...''it was the American's!''. Those American's seemed close to Adrian though didn't seem to say bye to him! Talking of ''outside'' the room, that was something that Tom knew a lot about after finding his bedding outside his room and all of his room-mates asleep with the door locked! Oh well, at least those cleaners tucked him in! And bedding was another thing, as we all claimed a bed when first entering the room, expecting only 3 but surprisingly finding 4. The funny thing was that Ewan's bed appeared to have no cover or pillow! Oh well mate! Sleep well! And in the morning we had the breakfast to look forward to! (Though there wasn't much sleep during the night!) The salted bread was legendary, as was the fact that Ewan had to go next door each morning to get his breakfast minus his drink. And that leads us to the classic that is TOMA. Nothing more needs to be said! Finally, something that happened on the last morning (sods law!) We find out that there is coffee machine selling coffee's for 9p each! That's Prague for you!
Those cobbled streets!
''You like football then mate!'' So said the security checker at the airport and how right he was. We went to Prague with a mission and succeeded. Playing football in the square in front of those screens, as well as in that magical lane. Old Trafford eat your heart out, though how did Ewan win World cup singles?!?
They say Pictures speak louder than words, and this says a lot. The Union Jack just sums things up nicely!
The People
They were a friendly bunch in Prague, as we found when that guy started talking to us outside the hotel. What was he on about! The people on Charles Bridge must be used to having photos of them taken, but one it must be said was not. ''10 Krona's! 10 Krona's!'' he said, covering his red lights as a picture was attempted! Skoda's were the car of the people, and rightly so. They are after all ''Superb!'' The cabbies were also great. Apparently one giving the girls a detailed account of the district we were staying in. ''You see that girl over there? Well, she's actually not a girl!'' Those cleaners must get a mention here for their hard work throughout! And finally, no account of Prague would be complete without a mention of Stone Cold in the Local and of course our chum Mario! Oh yeh, and the waitress who asked, ''is this mine'' regarding our change! Help yourself said the smiling Dennis, we're in Prague!
