Andy Holak

Andy has been running ultras since 1996, and has placed first in several grueling runs. Last year he broke the tape at the Ouachita Trail 50-mile (8:20) and was runner-up in both the Voyageur Trail 50-mile (9:14) and the marathon-distance Northwoods Snowshoe Championships. In previous years he has taken first place at the Voyageur 50-Mile, Glacial Trail 50-Mile, Superior Trail 100, Mount Rushmore Trail 50K, and Superior Trail 50-Mile. In 2002 Andy finished the Western States 100 in less than 24 hours, running the last 30 miles severely dehydrated and vomiting. He counts it as one of his proudest accomplishments. In 2004 he looks forward to returning to the course and improving on his time. He also looks forward to fastpacking the 205-mile long Superior Hiking Trail with his wife, Vasque team member Kim Holak. |
