Meet the Button Glutton!
The Basics
- Style: 5' high standing pig with wings.
- Artists: Students of Kat Rakel-Ferguson led by Marissa Lin. The core group consisted of Marissa Lin, Lauren Zinnecker, Alex Baxter, Tanya Nikiforova, Samantha Tessel, and Emily Vaughn. German Club designed the necklace, bracelets, and anklets.
- Design: Swirl pattern painted in a variety of colors, interspaced with circles; buttons in complimentary colors cover some of the swirls and circles.
- Designer: Emily Vaughn
- Sponsor: Sycamore Schools
- Location for the Big Pig Gig: Lytle Park
- Location after the Big Pig Gig: Sycamore High School courtyard
- Materials Used: Exterior house paint and buttons galore!
- Number of Buttons Used: Hundreds or Thousands; we kept stealing the buttons from the already counted piles as well as the uncounted piles (to decorate the pig with) before Alex had a chance to finish counting!
