Lettering Requirements
Athletes will be considered for letters based on individual and team dedication, attitude, performance, attendance, and eligibility.
Dedication: This means being on time and giving 100% during workouts and meets, working out on your own if you have things you need to work on, consistently striving to improve, and generally making a commitment to be the best athlete you can be.
Attitude: This means cheering on other members of the team during meets and workouts, not complaining during workouts, and having a positive outlook on yourself, the team, and the sport of track and field.
Performance: This means accomplishments and places at meets. An athlete must score 10 varsity points to receive a varsity letter. An athlete who places first in a J.V. event at league finals may also earn a varsity letter.
Attendance: This means an athlete must participate in 95% of the practices and meets.
Eligibility: Athletes must be eligible at the end of the season.
