This email was sent by Mary Ellen.
This obituary really hits home with our upcoming reunion and now a loss of another classmate! Dean left a message to his friends and family at the bottom of his obituary! Please get our your yearbooks and remember Dean and his family. Some classmates have already contacted me about sending a donation for the educational fund for his family. I believe his kids are like ages 6 and 8 or something like that. If you'd like to donate I would certainly be able to send you the address and information about where to send your donation. Take care, Mary Ellen (email to [email protected])

GUYER Dean C. Godly husband, father and beloved son Age 38, went to be with HIS LORD on Monday morning, June 27, 2005, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. In lieu of flowers, Dean requested donations be made to an educational fund for his children. Envelopes will be provided at the Funeral Home. "This is not a time for tears, this is a celebration. A celebration of my life, the best life any man can ask for. I want to thank each and every one of you for making this life of mine a dream come true. I love you all" -Dean

As Mary Ellen can tell you, it's a lot of hard work to plan a reunion. She needs all the information and help she can get. Two years will be here before we know it.

Most of you probably already know, but for those of you that don't I wanted to post this message so that all of you will know that Dave Rees was murdered on July 25. He left before our senior year and did not actually graduate with our class, but he was a good friend to many of our classmates. This is his obituary from the Star Gazette:

I've finally got around to updating the classmate information page. So check it out, we've had a few new classmates write in. Also, new classmates have been added to the Yahoo groups. Thanks for your patience!
I sent out a letter that Mike Seamon had sent us with his mailing address to those of you in our class email. If you did not receive it and would like it, please email us at [email protected]. I received several email address that were undeliverable. I have deactivated those email accounts in our classmate info page. If your email is no longer linked, then we received your email back saying it was not a valid account. If you would like to update us on your new account. Please fill out the update form, or email us.
Thanks!!!

This week I added a new page: Our Freedom Fighters

I started this page to let everyone know that the terrorist acts on Sept 11, continue to affect our daily lives. Also, I feel our classmates and family members that are risking their lives for our "freedom" deserve the recognition.
Please feel free to email any names of classmates you know that are serving overseas, or a family member that is involved overseas. Also, tell me the relationship the family member is to you. I know personally as a military wife, the hardships their family members are going through. I hope everyone will show their support anyway they can. Emails to service members will help boost their spirits.
May God bless all our service members and their families, as well as AMERICA!

I received this update from Vin Nykiel's, Please help if you can!
Hi:

I'm not a member of the Class of 1985 (actually I graduated in 1972), but have a request from the SHS Booster Club. THe Booster Club's project this year was to upgrade the wahsrooms in Hurley Stadium. It is a long story, but the contractors hired to accomplish the work did not work out. Much of the $ has already been spent.

As a result, the Booster Club is looking for volunteers (masons, plumbers and general handi-persons) to compelte the work this summer before the first football game.

If anyone can help, they should contact Mike DePrimo at 481-1028 (it is an Elmira number) or Duane at 732-4004. Thanks in advance

Hello classmates! Just like most of you, my summer is crazy. I'm going to try and get on here and redesign the classmate info page. I'm not guaranteeing it will be anytime soon, but it will get done. The page is "full", so I will be splitting it up. This is a GREAT thing! That means we are getting a hold of more and more classmates. I have also added a few things in the past month or so.
Jake Ripley welcomed another bambina to his family.
I redid the birthday page to finish up the year. If you don't see your birthday there, please email me!
Continue to check out the info page. A few members have changed their email addresses. Please make note of that!
I also added pictures to the album now, Thanks to The Hurd's for the pictures.

Final note regarding the MANY problems members have had with yahoo groups. Those classmates that seem to be having problems are not registered under our group with a yahoo name. I highly suggest (though it's not necessary) that you get a yahoo name and re-register in the group. We can delete your old name. I have noticed that those with AOL seem to have the biggest problems. And feel free to post messages in our group. It's not just for chatting. The message will go to all members that have "email" as an option.

Have a Great summer!!

Thank you Mary Ellen for sending in all the photos! I have added them to our Senior Trip, Graduation Day, Misc. High School, and Now pictures. I've been trying to update regularly and I truly appreciate all the patience.

Egroups and Yahoo have merged. Yes, Yahoo has taken over yet another internet service. I hope to see you all in chat. We've been having new members sign up often. We even have our first family member....welcome Mr. Dalton!

Soon I am going to put a missing in action page. If you know of a class members location please email us. We are trying to reach as many members as we can before the 20th!

Speaking of the 20th, you can start emailing your ideas to our class email. Things book up fast!
Recently I have started to add a birthday, wedding, anniversary, and birth page. I am still working on it, and gathering all the dates from classmates. I hope to finish it soon. If you would like to have your childrens birth announcements (past years welcome)..just EMAIL US with that information...or fill out the website form. Thanks!

15th CLASS REUNION

A GREAT TURN OUT!
It was held at the Green Derby! Great place to have a get together.
Classmates came from all over for this one night out on the town. Special thanks to our door workers: Sarah, Carrie, and Linda! It's a tough job trying to get classmates to wear name tags. Also special thanks to Lynn Williams and Sarah for all their work on our get together.
It was so great seeing everyone. Even though it was a late night, it was still hard to spend time with everyone. Thanks to all the classmates for showing up. We look forward to seeing everyone for our 20th.
Mary Ellen plans on starting the plann 1
