The real defination of Magic or "Magik" has been changed and misunderstood over the past few centuries... Obviously I'm just here to answer some questions! So read on!!
MAGIC

I am a kitchen witch which means that I practice my Craft with my everyday tools. I don't keep an arsenal of specialized tools and I don't use very complicated and exotic spells. Almost everything I need to do magic is in my kitchen, and probably in yours too. Except for special ocassions, such as the Sabbaths, I don't usually make very elaborate plans for my magic. Therefore, the spells and rituals I'll post from time to time will be as simple and easy to follow. You should feel free to modify spells and rituals so that they have the right feel for you. Remember that spells and rituals are tools, they have no power in and of themselves. The power is in you and you must do whatever feels right in order to tap into your own power. I adhere to only one iron-clad rule: 'An it harm none, do as you will.

Studying the Craft

If you are interested in pursuing magickal studies, the best advise I can give you is to read, read and read. Other resources available to you are workshops and study groups hosted by your local Pagan or Wiccan bookstore; network locally and on the internet through participation in newsgroups and on-line study groups; use my internet links page to other Pagan and Wiccan pages; visit my Wicca page to learn about my on-line study groups and workshops.

Learn about ritual and spell design, learn about correspondences, educate yourself about the powers associated with different herbs, crystals, foods, and other gifts from Earth. With this knowledge and some practice visualizing, you can create your own spells to suit your own needs and more easily adapt spells you come across.

Remember, there is nothing "unnatural" about magic--as if anything unnatural could exist within nature--it is simply forgotten. Visit my reading list if you need references to some books that can get you started remembering the magic within you.
