| How To Find Psilocybe Mushrooms |
| So....... You decided to go find those magick mushrooms, you always heard about eh? well you came to the right place then, first a few comments.... If your just looking for some drug to fuck you up, then click here. but if your looking for something that, will show you your inner self, and explore the other side of this world, then keep reading.... First Some things you might need with you on your hunt: Day Time: knife/scissors, Basket, Paper Bag, or Some Other Way To Carry Your Findings Night Time: Same As Above, Flashlight, Friend(Just Incase) Perferred Transportation: Foot, Bike Car: If your only means is by car, I would suggest haveing a trusted friend drop you off at your field, and have him/her come back at the time you expect to be done Why Not Take Your Car and Park It? Because a car will easily give you away, and if your shrooming at night will draw alot of attention and possiably have the cops called to investigate How To ID a Psilocybe Shroom: Their are a couple of good ways to ID the "Magick Shrooms" The best way is the Blueing Reaction, This reaction can be cause by; when you pick it by cutting/snaping the stem, in some species it can be caused by just handling them, and best meth to check for the B.R is by giveing the stem a slight pinch. The blueing reaction can take anywere from 20-120mins, if no blueing appears after that, its most likely not psycadelic.Another charterlistic is the stem will be hollow. The last one im going to cover is when your at home I.Ding them take a spore print, most pyscoactive spore prints color will be chocolate brown-purpleish color. Daytime: On your first hunt, it is best to stay to the fields that are closest to you, because if something happend that wasn't thought of, it be easier to get back to your house... The first time i went hunting the field i went to, was only 5 minutes away from my house, I know some of you won't have this luxary..... so, a field around 15mile radius from your house would be fine. Also if the field you plan on going to hassn't been there very long(from lets say 2-10months), its very unlikey that your find any mushrooms, muchless any psilocybes When you get in the field the only possiable threat your have during the day will be the farmer spotting you(because alot of time there in the field or working in there barn) so you need to keep a eye out for them Unless... you got there permisson first, The only other threat you really have would be other animals, such as: snakes, bulls, dogs. Night Time: When you go hunting at night time there are alot of advantages unlike the day. The first advantage is, it will be much cooler out so you wont get discourage from the heat. Also at night time you won't have to worry about getting spoted(unless you brought a car), Another advantage is all the shrooms you picked will stay freasher then they would during the day, so you can hunt a lilttle bit longer without haveing to worry about your babies as much. Some things you need to watch out for during the night are: holes in the ground(wouldnt want to trip over one and break a leg), other animals which are rarly ran into(snakes, bulls, dogs, rabid animals), bull netle and poison ivys/oaks. Time: There is no certain time to go shrooming, once they fruit they will be there for at least a couple of days, **a good time is after a good heavy rain. and a constant temp around 70*-90* If it gets over 95* constantly (over3-5day pd) there probably won't be very many....if any. **Also a good time to go is eairly mourning between 530am-9am because the sun is just starting to rise, it will be barly light outside and still cool out and the dew will be on the ground. * Temp in F **This is just my suggesting Other Notes About In The Field: When your out in the field hunting you shouldn't eat your finding out there unless your 100% sure of its I.D. another reason is because after consuming your finding and there effects start to kick in, your be less interested in cont. the hunt, and you might consume a non-active species because you didn't think to I.D. which could lead to your death. Another thing you might want to do is to keep/pick all the shrooms you find active or non-active, so incase a cop does come you could tell him your just out picking edable mushrooms and you haven't gotten a chance to 100% I.D them, and incase they take the shrooms from you, they won't find all pyscoactive species and hopefully you won't get charged for possessen of psilocyn/psiocybin. Incase a farmer does catch you, dont make any lies like your taking a short cut to your house because most farmers will know your most likely lieing, so just tell them your hunting for mushrooms, and that your sorry you didnt get get permission but you didn't think about it... if that fails offer him money.. but most farmers don't really like the mushrooms because they just get in there way, so they probably won't care. Also when your in the field dont mess it up by leaveing your trash around, pick it up, and also if you open any gates, close them, and anything else you could that would piss off the farmer don't do, because if you do, he'll start keeping a eye out for you or any other hunters, and you/them probably won't like what happens..... |
| Little Brown Mushrooms: Most people consider shrooms LBM, infact many of them arent!! just remember "if they strain blue they are true" there are shroom pysco-active shrooms which don't turn blue(which i don't suggest for the beginner so I'm not covering) and there are very few that stain blue, which aren't pysco-active, but they are very noticable and have no charterlistic of the pysco-active, but the B.R.. Some Last Words: After reading all this and keeping it in mind you now have the basic knowledge to go shrooming, Your first time will hopefully be the best time, I know the first time i found my first Psilocybe Cubenis it made me very excited, and proud... If you don't find any shrooms your first couple of times don't be discourage and stop, because this is a hobby that takes patients sometimes, just go to a different field the next time, They are out there!! "instead you finding the shrooms let the shrooms find you" don't get frustrated in the field if your not finding them, or you most likely won't find them..
