Joyful and triumphant, indeed!

At least, until I released "The Passion of the Christ".  In that case, Graphic Violence - Buzz Factor = Flop.  No matter - I hear HM3 will include a Buzz Factor of some sort, so I'll try this film idea again when the new version is released.

Other than that, I actually had a lot of fun going genre-hopping with the Christian-themed films.  Love stories, dramas, historical epics - even a few animated films for good measure.  Even with a moderate box-office stinker, my average profit per film was $151 million, with an average profit of $64 million/film disregarding the more popular action and animation genres.

About those domestic and foreign box office percents...no, America hasn't suddenly become a theocracy.  I selected my opponents from the DeVuono Brothers preset studio files, at different levels.  I don't think I'll do that again; those studios don't offer up much competition.  Maybe when I'm done with this little experiment in genre runs, I'll go head-to-head with my own studios as opponents.

Miscellaneous Tidbits:

  • Average Mogie nominations/film:   4.3

  • Average Mogie wins/film:   0.8

  • I used location shooting in Arizona a LOT, since most of the films were set in the desert.

  • Next up: Westerns, Musicals, Thrillers, Mysteries?  So many genres, so little time...
