Automotive gear oils are the EP type.
Industrial gear oils are the ST type.
EP oils are superior to ST oils.
EP oils have better flow than ST oils and can withstand extreme pressures and hightemperature.
Industrial gearboxes generally operate at constant load and lower speed, so low cost SToils are sufficient.
Certain specialized machines use Hydraulic oils(Pennzbell AW series), Toolwaylubricants(Gulfway series/Pennzway series) or Engine oils in their gearboxes.
