We are currently having practice shoots every WEDNESDAY night at the arena in Hallsville, MO. We usually get there around 6:30 or 7:00pm and have a good time practicing (usually until dark) and would love for you to join us! Alot of us use this time to get young horses accustomed to the sport and we find these weekly practices are invaluable to anyone getting started and also to the more experienced to help keep their edge. (Or maybe they are just an excuse to get together and play cowboy!) Either way we have a fun time together so feel free to stop by! Don't hesitate to bring a young or inexperienced horse for some exposure as all of the shooters are very courteous and DO NOT simply run around shooting on horseback, they will take the time to make sure you are notified and have your horse well in hand before shooting & will be glad to help you get your horse accustomed to the shooting as well. Most horses take to it with very little problem if exposed in small increments and with older gun broke horses around. Please don't hesitate to contact a club member for more information or specific directions if you are interested. |
