Celtic Clipper Services are able to offer a horse clipping service. All clipping is done by myself, Jo Griffiths. I have over 15 years experience in handling and riding all types of horses, from Shetlands and riding school ponies through to show jumpers and race horses.
I graduated from the University of Wales Aberystwyth in 2007, with an honours degree in Equine Science and I have owned and competed my own horses for over 10 years.
Below I am pictured with one of my horses after winning two turnout classes and placing in a further three classes for breeding and type.
I have been clipping, trimming and turning out horses for clients for competition and hunting for over 10 years. References are available if required. |

I clip both my own and clients horses with my own set of Heiniger Delta horse clippers, which I keep solely for my own use and do not hire out. These are a set of dual speed, quiet running, heavy duty clippers, also designed for clipping cattle, and are capable of clipping the coarsest of animal hair. |

Mileage is calculated at 50p per mile, and is calculated from our workshop to the location of the horse, as calculated by www.multimap.com
Horses are required to be clean and dry for clipping, preferably in a stable or covered area.
220v mains electric supply is required. |

In the interests of my own safety and longevity of my clipping equipment, I will not clip horses who are known to be malicious or dangerous while being clipped. I reserve the right to refuse to clip an animal if I believe my safety or safety of others will be compromised in anyway. In the event of such an occurence the full charge for milage incurred, and charge for the intended clip will still apply. |
