Clothespin Game
1. Give a clothespin to each guest as they arrive. (These can be decorated really cute or replaced with safety pins for simplicity.) Have a key word, phrase or action that will be forbidden for the duration of the shower such as cute, baby, adorable, sweet. The forbidden word is the same for each guest. Throughout the shower as the guests hear other guests using the word, they are permitted to take one pin from them. If more than one person hears it they each take one. If the offender has not accumulated enough pins to go around, just the first one to notice receives a pin. Before the guests leave, tally who has the most pins. They are the winner and receive a small gift.
I wrote a little poem that you hand the guests as the come in that explains the game so you don't have to explain it over and over. Just please include my name on any copies you make.
CUTE
Place this pin upon your shirt.
(Don't worry, this won't hurt.)
When you hear another say
The special word, here today,
You get to take their pin away.
At the end of the shower,
The one with the most,
Is given a gift, from the host.
The only word that can't be shared,
Is the word "CUTE", so don't get scared.
Just begin. Jump right in.
Just don't forget and lose your pin.
