Day 1

Day one was kind, however it found us hearing the words of "Great take guys do it again" and over again which made us very tired. On the other hand Ray the engineer bears a striking resemblence of father time, which somehow makes the work a little more enjoyable. cRAYzy as we call him, Ray smokes copius amounts of Marijuana and sometimes giggles like a fifteen year old stoner when he's happy. This in turn makes us happy too. Anyways we layed down the beds on four of the five tracks and took us ten hours...leaving us all wanting to go to sleep. As for the Studio, it's made up of three layers and possibly contains a hidden lair where  Ray hides bodies, or feilds of Marijuana, or maybe even old stuff that he doesn't even use anymore! Ray is also starring in the life broadcast of Jesus Christ Superstar in the role of John the Baptist and a merchant. If you'd like to see this play, ask us how.  The weather was fleeting at best causing near deaths. In the two seater van.
Overall Day one left us all tired.  So we came home to unwind with using various substances (causing a near hole in Daves sweater, which he had no clue was happening).  Brad and Steve went out to buy some beer for the night and they ran into a drunk man who had been cutoff from the LCBO.  The man stumbled steadily  thorugh traffic where he then told the honking cars to relax, becuase he "didn't have all day". The day ended with us falling asleep before midnight. We established the obvious fact that Dave is a better at drumming  than at driving.

Day 2
Luckily started later than day one only with more ice and snow. Burned out, we headed to McDonalds, which  ed up to us late being for recording. We layed down the beds for the fifth track which took us a lot more time than we thought it would. The rest of the day left Jeff and Dave making up horrible jokes with Ray and exploring the creepy studio that Ray sleeps in.  Hamilton is also very sketchy....  Meanwhile Steve and Brad worked their asses off doing layins for the first three tracks, Dave and Jeff had fun watching the Sens game while everyone was  working so hard.  We all have five years less on our lives due to the chronic smoking in the studio. Ray took much offense to Jeffs constant "ya you would" remarks but played it cool be using his fifteen year old laugh.
Ray had many demands such as getting him a "poppy seed bagel with chives" from Tim Hortons, and a Cappaciano from an actual coffee house. we were also reminded to use the force whenever possible.
The day ended with a serious talk of STD'S and even if the girls are hot they can not be touched.
WE also didnt get lost on the way out of Hamilton this day.

Day 3
A warm Sunny Sunday morning with birds chirping had us up and going at 8 in the morning as we all finally slept for the first time throughout the night (Jeffs apartment is very loud). We headed down to Hamilton and arrived there at 9:30 to start things early. Dave did nothing all day as he tried to get closer with Ray and use forceful entry on him.... or was that the force?  As for Jeff  he recorded the acoustic parts for Sick and tired which will now be on the upcoming EP, and Brad and Steve recorded some cool parts too making the song that much better. The day was  overall a more mellow one, and we headed out by 7:00pm to go back home and regroup as we are set to go back to Hamilton next weekend to work on the Bass tracks, go over some drums tracks, Then vocals.  Oh yeah we killed the battery in the van and had to get a boost from one of Hamiltons oustanding civilians.  Thanks a lot guy!

Day 4
For Jeff this day was difficult. The bass tracks took about 5 hours of straight playing and very little pleasure. Each song was pretty much done in 3 to 4 takes but Ray moved extra slow today due to some issues with the recording button. Steve wasn't able to grace us with his presence this weekend,  although at times through the smoke filled mixing room we swore we saw him.  in order to make up for his absense it took the  the presence of two beautiful young ladies Carley and Tiffany (that made the visual surroundings much nicer) to make up the difference. We had some pitfalls as the bass ran direct into the board as opposed to thru the amp and into the board. This resulted in a weaker bass sound than the week before and Jeff got really pissed but hey on a budget of $1000, we are more than extatic. Vocals begin Friday March 5th, and wrap up sometime around the 15th. Then we will do our layins of piano, organ and some possibly some other stuff before mixdown and mastering.
