| This was my first anime con and, I must say, it was the best three days I had in a long time. It was lots of fun getting to run around dressed as your favorite character participating in photoshoots, seeing L'Arc~en~Ciel live, and, best of all, getting to meet so many people. It was a good time. ^_^ My mother and I pre-registered on Thursday so we didn't have to wait in the long line on Friday. I spent the morning walking around the con center with my mom and taking photos of the cosplayers a little bit later we went back to our hotel (stayed at the Days Inn right across the steet!) and I changed into my Moomba costume then we went back to the BCC. It was time for the dealer's room to open and so we checked it out. It was HUGE! It was also fun to walk around in there with a tail (by the time I took the costume off, I still felt like I had a tail attached to me lol). Later in the afternoon was the FFXBV shoot, it was smaller than planned but it was still a lot of fun. After the shoot, I got changed into the Kotori Monou dress and headed back to the BCC. It was then time for the X gathering. This was the highlight of the convention for me. We even had a full cast too! Lots of fun was had with everyone (I miss you guys!). I met up with my mom around 9 and we hung out around the con center until about midnight or so then went back to the hotel. ~_~ Saturday was another fun day! That was Rip van Winkle day. After going to a panel on J-Rock and Visual Kei, I changed into Rip and headed back to the BCC. Lucky for me I forgot the umbrella (which my mom brought with her when she went up to the con a half hour later -.-;;........ learned my lesson then lol) and a bum hit on me, it was rather amusing. XD The Hellsing shoot was fun even though I was surrounded by Alucards and Walters in the big group picture. XP After the shoot was over I went to the Dealers Room again and then back to the hotel and then back to the BCC for the big Cosplay.com photoshoot. Both SuthrnBelleChan and I were baking in our suits. It was really neat to see everyone from the site though. After the shoot was over I went back to the hotel and changed into normal clothes and got ready for the L'Arc~en~Ciel concert! Seeing L'Arc live was an awesome experience After the concert and eating we went back to the con center and I watched Samurai Girl and Fruits Basket (that is where my love for that series "blossomed" heehee). We went back to the hotel around midnight again. Sunday was a sad day, but it was good. The EGL gathering was that day, it was very fun. Lots of pictures and tea and cookies....so many cookies. It was very nice getting to meet all of the other Lolies as well. After the gathering was over I went to the Dealers Room one last time and then my mother and I hung around for a bit. We then saw Millenium Actress and then walked around the BCC one last time before it was over. I can't wait until next year! |
