I was wondering if any of you guys know
anything about a clear vinyl Never Enough 12" with Up To the Sky on
the B-side. I can't find anything about it on the internet and I am
thinning out my record collection to help fund my year long trip to
Central and South America and I don't know if I should get rid of it
or not. A DJ named John M Pillin, Jr. put it out and it says Limited
edition #0459. Thanks in advance for you help!
Well, I could not locate anything specific on this one. However, I did find some info that may be helpful.
On the message boards at www.curiosity.de, courtesy of Jason, I heard...
"...the remix of 'never enough' (which i believe is the 'ultra hot razor cuts
mix') is just plain horrible. basically like playing the 'big mix' of 'never
enough' with samples from 'why cant i be you?' and other cure songs in-between
verses....
the remix of 'to the sky' (which should be the 'ressurection mix') is pretty bad
as well. it sounds a lot like the original, but its all butchered so that
certain verses are in the wrong place and the song just doesnt sound right...
theyre not official remixes and the 12" is not an official release, so the
collectable value is pretty low and the quality is probably questionable..."
Just so you know, the official single goes for about $16-17 on some collectible Cure sites, so if we go by Jason's reasoning (which sounds reasonable) then this one probably isn't worth very much. However, according to him the remixes themselves are terrible, so maybe you would be better off selling it...
