Shorinji Kempo is one of official Japanese Martial Arts, which is based on Zen buddhism and especially named by Doshin So in Japan. Shorinji Kempo should not be confused with Shaolin Kung Fu, Shorin-ryu Karate, or other martial arts that have Shaolin, Shorinji, or Shorin in names.

Shorinji Kempo is not competitive, and it is fun to practice techniques. The practice places equal emphasis on training mind and body by practice of technique and Zen meditation.Through its practice, members can acquire "Self-Defense," "Spiritual Cultivation," and "Health Improvement." Shorinji Kempo teaches Goho (blocks,punches, or kicks), Juho (releasing, or throwing), & Seiho (adjusting body balance) along well-organized curriculums. Members can practice in accordance with their physical conditions in a safe and warm atmosphere for all ages from 6 - 70 years old.

Within 1 year at DLI, members can take an exam of 3rd - 1st grade Brown Belt. Members will receive an official certificate issued in Japan after passing the examination.
<Practice in Japan & 33 Countries>
After a member's registration is complete, an ID card will be issued from World Shorinji Kempo Organization (WSKO) in Japan. A member will be able to practice Shorinji Kempo at any WSKO practice locations in 33 countries with your Shorinji Kempo belt rank. Click to "LISTS OF COUNTRIES"
