The Rules
There are two sets of rules for every Pernese club: those of the Dragonlady herself, Anne McCaffrey, and those of the specific club. Here are both sets - be sure to read them carefully.
The Dragonlady's Rules

1) The Weyrs and Holds in Anne's books are off limits. Your persona can be born there, but they can't live there, and mentioning those places in posts is highly frowned upon.
2) Use of the names of any characters in the books are strictly off limits. Variations that are close to these names are also unacceptable (ex - Ramoth/Romoth).
3) All dragons live in the Weyr - no exceptions.
4) All dragon names end in 'th' and all male rider names must be elided (ex - R'vel, not Reorvel).
5) The only colors allowed are the standard five: Gold, Bronze, Brown, and Green. Ruth was an exception and no mutations will be allowed.
6) No dragon has one eye color. Dragon eyes are constantly changing.
7) Certain types of people Impress certain types of dragons; the matches are listed below.

*Bronze dragons sometimes chase greens, and if that green's rider happens to be male, the bronzerider may participate in the flight, but the chances are slim. Bronzeriders usually prefer to find stand-ins.
**Brown dragons chase greens more often than bronzes. If the green's rider happens to be male, the brownrider will more than likely participate in the flight, because "The dragons choose", not the riders. However, some brownriders will have a stand-in available before the outcome of the flight is decided.
8) No mention of any characters from the novels is allowed; nor is mention of Benden (the sole exception being the wine) or Ruatha.
The Club Rules

1) Golds are available by Impression or contest only.
2) Writing about hurting others' personae or description of obscene acts in posts will result in a warning from the communications BoD the first time and ejection from the club the second.
3) If you do not meet the posting requirements for a ranking persona, you will be warned. If you fail again the next month, your persona will become an ANPC. If she is a goldrider, a BoD member will write a death post for her. Posting requirements can be found here.
4) Only use another person�s persona in your post if you have his/her permission.
5) Super personae will not be approved nor will stereotypical or "perfect" personae.
6) We will only have 4 HAD personas in the club at one time.
7) Sending spam to the list (LOA info is not spam) will result in ejection from the club.
8) Flames WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. The following is an example of a flame, sent to our persona approver Ali:
"Its sick to see a weyr with _five_ golds and only _ten_ other riders ... plus your weyr has very bad cannon and very slow posting. Perhaps you should put more time into posting and less into giving yourselves rank."

Suggestions are welcome about the club and the way it is run - NOT flames. Flaming will result in ejection from the club.
