Physical Description: I'kar does not have 'one of those faces' that everyone thinks they recognize from somewhere. In fact, he has just the opposite. Usually, people can not recall what he looks like after meeting him for the first, and often second and third times. He has medium-brown hair and unremarkable blue eyes. All of the features of his face are medium-sized, as well. His body is fairly well muscled from a rigorous life as a dragonrider, but not overly so. He stands 5'11" tall.
Emotional Description: I'kar is very quiet, and does not call attention to himself. He is the complete opposite of his dragon, but they balance well. Many people think I'kar is shy, or has stagefright, but this is not the case. He simply does not like showing off and would rather let everyone else say what they have to say first, then say what he feels like saying.
History: Ikaryd was born in a large Northern Weyr. His father, a brownrider named I'koan, and his mother, a greenrider named Syryd, were seldom around due to Weyr duties, so he lived with a foster mother. When he was 12 years of age, he began standing for Hatchings. When he continually failed to Impress, his parents suggested that he take up a craft. And he did: artistry. He found that he was extremely good at sketching, and devoted practically all of his time to it by becoming an apprentice. However, when he Impressed bronze Ryuuth at the age of 17, he realized that he had to leave his craft because his dragon took so much care. I'kar spent some time as a Wingleader in his home, but left the position when he was around 30 Turns old. When Shoreline Weyr opened up, he went down as one of the riders. Ryuuth flew the Weyrwoman's gold only a short while ago, making him Weyrleader. He still sketches a bit, but between Weyrleader duties and his dragon, it's hard to find the time.
Dragon�s Description: Ryuuth has always been big, flashy, and self-assured. He is very boastful, and loves having the metaphorical spotlight on himself. He acts very macho and is constantly showing off. Thankfully, his rider's quite nature balances his dragon well, and several accidents that could have occured because of Ryuuth's tendency towards stunts have been averted. He is large, even for a bronze, and more of a deep goldish color than true bronze. He receives much teasing about this from I'kar, but he takes it rather well. Ryuuth is very agressive during Threadfall, and, though he is large, manuevers quite nicely. Consequentially, he and his rider have been scored very few times.
Pet�s Description: Neko is small, white, and very timid. She runs from almost everything except I'kar. Although she has been around Ryuuth almost since she was born, she still hides under the bed whenever he is around. She has icy-blue eyes and is 2 Turns old. (BD: m6/d1)
