Our coach,Bridget Demary,was invited to Switzerland to teach twirling for two weeks. She enjoyed it and loved meeting new twirlers!!
Four members of Shore Corps. went to Notre Dame University in Indiana to compete at the National and World Championships the last week in July. Jessica Tracey, Krystal Tracey, Erin Leifer, and Nicole La Pelusa all went and competed as a team and individually. Three of the four represented New Jersey in the Beginner and Intermediate Miss Majorette of America Pageant in their age divisions. They were very happy with the results including a top twenty placement for their group routine to "I Like It Like That." All girls enjoy seeing their twirling friends and meeting new ones at America's Youth On Parade!!
The Miss America Parade on September 18,1998 was a big hit!! The girls had alot of fun and enjoyed meeting celebrities such as Vanna White and several of the Miss America contestants. Shore Corps. had several guests attending the parade and it made the whole night worthwhile.
All members of Shore Corps. were pleased with the results of New Jersey State Championships in December. They are now working hard for North-Atlantic Regionals in April.
