~~My Review on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix~~
I thought this book was very excellent. I especially like how Harry's whole attitude and persepective on his friends and family has changed a bit. How he yelled at Hermione and Ron.. how he was mad at Dumbledore for not talking to him and getting him involved in the order more.. and even at his fathers actions toward Snape. He was angry. I thought that was a very interesting turn of emotion on Harry's part. I would never have thought JK would make Harry angry.. but I think that is very realistic and any teenager would do the same given those conditions Harry has been under.
The "dating" was something I wasn't expecting so much. I thought since Voldemort was in full power everyone would be thinking of Voldemorts revenge. Cho Chang and Harry's kiss was absolutely adorable (even if she was crying)! I'm happy JK went the path she did with Cho and Harry. I don't think they would be a suitable match in Harry's future. Ginny Weasley dated a boy in a different house than her, name was Michael Corner. I was glad to see that her crush on Harry is completely gone. I also don't think Ginny is the one for Harry. After her and Michael broke up.. she went out with Dean! That was very unexpected on my end. He's a year older, and we don't see much of him. Makes me wonder if he'll play a bigger part in book 6. What dissapointed me was that Ron didn't seem to have any crushes. I know he was busy with Quidditch and everything, but I'd like to see what he thinks of some girls... in particular Hermione. I wonder if JK is waiting for book 6 to get into Ron dating.. or Hermione dating. ^^
Percy Weasley was a complete.. well.. he was a moron! I didn't like his character in this book much. You would think that his family would come first.. but he has his own mind and I can see why he wouldn't believe his family. It's just that he was a prick to Ron in that letter! I can't believe he would tell Ron not to hang out with Harry! Percy acts like he doesn't even know Harry or what he has done! But I guess that would be thanks to the Daily Prophet.
The last thing I'm gonna talk about is the death. I couldn't believe Sirius Black died. That was so unexpected on my part. I knew it was a fan.. but why did it have to be Sirius!?!? He fought a great fight.. he never gave up. If only he stayed at home like he was supposed to!! But he always has been a rebel. ^^ Well.. a lot of fans are upset about it... but maybe we'll see him again!
I know it was very short... but thats all I can think of right now! Give me a break... its a long book! :) Well thanks for reading, if you did! ^^
