My Family

My immediate family consists of three members. Other than my parents, I have got a younger sister. A brief description of my family members is given below.

Father: Dr. Mustaque Hasan Mahmood
Ph.D. (Management)
Guest Lecturer – BCS Academy and
Bangladesh Institute of Administration & Management (BIAM)

My father completed his graduation in management from Dhaka University. He started work as manager in a private organization named TAMPACO. After a few years he stated his own business. In 1990 he completed his Ph.D. in management from Philippines. Afterwards he started teaching at the above mentioned institutes along with running his business. He has written one book and published a number of articles in renowned journals.

Mother: Dr. Nazma Begum
Ph.D. (Economics)
Professor, Department of Economics, University of Dhaka

My mother completed her graduation in economics from Dhaka University. She worked then for a short period at the Planning Commission. She started working as a lecturer at Dhaka University from 1981. My mother completed her Ph.D. in 1990 from Philippines. My mother has written two books and regularly publishes articles in leading journals both at home & abroad.

Sister: Araza Tasnim
Student, Viqurnissa School & College

My sister was born in 1992. At present she is a student of class IX. Though she is very naughty, she simply is too adorable to me. She spends most of her watching T.V. She almost watches our family TV for the whole day, so the rest of us had get their own TV’s for viewing.

I have a quite large family. All my grand-parents are alive except my maternal grandfather. I have three aunts on my father’s side.  On my mother’s side I have three aunts and two uncles along with their families.

I also consider some of my near & dear friends as my family members. Shombit, Rohan, Andalib, Shujon, Sami, Adiba are some of them – its not possible to name all of them here – though I know that they know who they are even if they are not mentioned here.
