Car Theft: Possible or Impossible?

Car Theft: Possible or Impossible?

by Shofiur Razzaque

Imagine waking up in the morning grabbing your car keys and driving to school, like any normal day. Then imagine getting out of school and your car is not where you left it. This is perfectly possible. A professional car thief (if thats a profession) will only take four to five minutes to steal a car, which includes breaking in, starting, and leaving. Even though almost every car has some type of protection device on it, whether it is an alarm, a club, etc., car theft is very possible and frequent.

Most of the students who drive to Edison love it, but have a hard time not thinking about it during the school day. All of them wonder if anything is going to happen to their car. The same goes for the teachers. One Edison teachers car last year was stolen from directly in front of the school.

No cars have been stolen from Edison faculty or students this year, but it is always possible. It is a concern for Walter Molina and Pyuish Kayashta, two of the few students who drive everyday. Walter said I put a special alarm on my car, but he is a little concerned, Pyuish said I have a cool device on my car, which makes it impossible to steal it.
