Well I really dropped the ball this year. I brought the video camera but forgot the battery. So this year we have fewer pictures and no audio. Sorry.
Once again we failed to bring home a boat at the end of the weekend! Overall it was a typical derby weekend, we caught a few fish, no monsters and a no rainbows (the targeted species).
We did however, manage to have ourselves a grand old time as usual.
The weather was pleasant,(sunny and warm) but not ideal for ice fishing. Usually the worse the weather is, the better the fishing is. We set as many as 10 tip-ups in shallow water every morning, but had only one flag, and that one was lost due to someone's great idea of letting the fish run with it and never setting the hook. Well the fish sure did run with it...then dropped it like a bad habit. Any guesses on who the skilled angler was???
