Bass Fishing!!!

Smallmouth Bass

A fine autumn bronzeback at Winnipesaukee...

Largemouth Bass

Arguably the most popular gamefish in America, if not the world!

Here is just a small largemouth, but a healthy looking representative of the species.

The following pictures are of my bag of fish caught Columbus Day weekend, 1997 at Lake Winnipesaukee. I was fishing alone in the pouring rain from about 9:00am to Noon on Saturday, October 11th. The fishing was slow, but steady. I didn't lose any fish and all of these represent all the bites I had that day. 5 smallmouths and 1 largemouth.

Not too bad for a rainy day...

Jeff Poulos with a nice smallmouth at Squam Lake. We fished under a high pressure system that resulted in the famous Bluebird skies and a good wind. We managed but a few smallmouth that day. This one fell to a crankbait.

The pictures above were from a Charles River expedition. My brother Jon(left) finally caught a nice quality largemouth. His partner Dan did too. Congratulations boys. (also, check out that canoe! Isn't it a beauty? Danny boy made that by hand. That is quite an accomplishment!
