Alaska Baseball League Resources
It's tough keeping up with the ABL on a daily basis from the lower 48. Whether you're planning a trip to see the Midnight Sun Game, or trying to tie in a visit to Alaska with an amazingly fulfilling baseball experience, or if you'd like to keep track of certain teams or ballplayers, the problem is that ABL baseball doesn't make it to local newspapers outside of the 49th State. Fortunately, the internet provides a number of possibilities for following our great national game in The Last Frontier.

The teams of the ABL all operate official websites. The first link shown at left brings you to a page on the Oilers website that offers a league directory with connectivity to all of the teams' websites. Details of the teams' offerings of game webcasts are shown thereon. The Oilers broadcast their games over a local station and the audio stream can be picked up at Radio Kenai; see the next link at left and click on "Listen Live Online!" in the upper right corner of the screen.

In Alaska the local newspapers give big-time coverage of ABL action. Links for the papers in Fairbanks, Palmer, Anchorage and Kenai are also provided at left. The Oilers website publishes a league-wide schedule each year so to help with planning, there's also a link to their schedule page.

I welcome any comments about this page; please feel free to e-mail me with any suggestions for improvements or if there's any problems with these links.
