FAIRBANKS ALASKA GOLDPANNERS

The Fairbanks Alaska Goldpanners play their home games at Growden Memorial Park which was built in 1963. A couple rows of box seats run between the two dugouts behind home plate. Behind home plate after the box seats is a section of general admission bench-type seating with backrest in a covered grandstand. Open general admission bleacher seating is located down each base line. This ballpark appears to have had sections of seating added at various times, probably in order to handle the number of fans attending the Midnight Sun Game every year.

These photos are from Thursday, 6/21/01, prior to the 96th annual Midnight Sun Game (described in a separate photo page). All of my original photos on this page are approximately one-quarter size. Netscape users can right-click and view-image to see the full-size images.
