CHARACTER SUMMARY
Goku and Piccolo team up in an effort to save Gohan from the Saiyan Radditz. The three battle it out in a frenzy. The advantage that Raddiz has over Goku and Piccolo, however, is too much for the both of them. Eventually Raddiz beats and tortures Goku. Gohan hearing his father's cries, gets enraged and shows his true powers. This is where we see Gohan's powers for the first time.
Son Gohan is Goku's first son. He is a good natured boy and is polite to in every way. Like his father, he has a heart of Gold. But unlike his father, he does not like to fight. Gohan is mixed human and Saiyan, which makes him inherently more powerful than his father. He probably has the most potential over all of the Z warriors to be the strongest. But because he does not have the passion to fight, he never reaches his true potential. This can prove to be a weakness for him in battle. At one time he was trained by Piccolo who he looks up to and respects. In the battle of Cell, He displayed power and speed more than anyone. Gohan was the first to achieve the level of Super Saiyan 2. Eventually he grows up to be studious and intelligent, mainly because his mother is always on him to study. Gohan marries Videl, his high school classmate, and they both have one daughter: Pan.
TECHNIQUES
Masenko: Gohan powers up with his hands on top pf his head, with one hand in front of the other. After the blast is powered up he places his hands forward and releases the blast.

Details: Not many weaknesses here as Gohan was at a nearly perfect form after training with Dai Kaio-shin. It was a revolutionary step in power and speed. He was nearly the most powerful person in the world. He then got sucked up by Majin Buu (with SS3 Gotenks and Piccolo). Mystic Gohan was beating Majin Buu (with SS3 Gotenks and Piccolo) until he got sucked up.

CHARACTER SUMMARY
Son Goku is the main character in the Dragonball series. The name "Son Goku" is taken from a Chinese mythological figure. Goku is a member of the fighting race the Saiyan (Saiya-jin) from planet Vegita. He, like all Saiyans, has a simian tail. With it he can transform into a large ferocious ape and become very destructive. As an infant he was sent on a mission to help condition earth for take over, but a childhood head injury made him forget his primary objective. Thus becoming the gentle and sweetly innocent person we see now. As a child Goku had his tail removed and is no longer able to transform into an ape.
Goku's strength lies in his passion to fight and to be the best fighter. He strives on fighting strong opponents. When it seems that Goku is beat he always comes up with something to fend off defeat. He was trained by great teachers such as Mutenroshi (or Kame-sennin, the turtle master), Sennin (that cute chubby cat with the sensu beans), and Kaio-sama (King Ki). When Goku matures (at around age 16-17) he marries Ox King's daughter Chi Chi. Together they have two children: Son Gohan and Son Goten.
During the battle of Freeza, Goku was the first to inherited the ability to change into the legendary Super Saiyan. Having always the challenge of fighting stronger opponents, it was typical of Goku to stay ahead of everyone. What is strange about Goku is his ability to outwit and befriend his enemy. Some of his past enemies later become his ally. He does not bother nor care about leaders of Earth, politics, and power. His only concern is the righteousness of humanity (and all other races for that matter) and fighting strong opponents.
TECHNIQUES
Kame-Hama-Ha: Loosely translated into "the technique of the turtle master!" The technique that was created by Mutenroshi (The turtle master). It is a large KI blast that comes out of cupped hands which is started by charging the KI from behind then releasing the energy towards the opponent.
Genkidama:Translated to "life ball" or "energy bomb". A progressive energy ball collected from all life on earth.
Kaio-ken: A technique created by Kaio-sama (King Ki). This move is a temporary boost of power. When used the person gains a large amount of energy and speed.
Shunkanido (Instantaneous Movement): Taught to Goku by the Yardarratan (Yardaratto-jin), a strange technique which enable Goku to move from one place to another in a instant. Goku needs to hone in on another person for him to be able to use it.
Zanzoken: Another technique created by the turtle master. The person who uses this can move at great speeds and leave after images of themself behind while attacking from another position.
INTERESTING NOTES ON SON GOKU
The name Son Goku is his full name, with Son being his last name and Goku being his first.
The birth given name to Son Goku is "Kakarroto or Kakarot". This is his Saiyan name. His grandfather gave him his current name when he discovered him.
The name Kakarroto is a play in the word carrot.

Details: Super Saiya-jin 3 is perhaps the most powerful single form a warrior can sustain (without the help of absorption or assimilation), but because Goku can only use it for a short time on earth, it lowered it's effectiveness as Goku could not defeat Fat or Kid Buu. SS3 is a very powerful state.

CHARACTER SUMMARY
Vegita is the prince of all Saiyans (Saiya-jins). He was born an elite Saiyan and has the ability to become a Super Saiyan. Along with Nappa, Raddiz and Goku (Kakarot) he is one of the four survivors of his home planet "Vegita"*. The Saiyans were part of Freeza's organization and used as tools to take over and prepare planets for sale. Freeza took Vegita as a child and sent him out on special missions. While out fulfilling one of those missions, his home world was abruptly destroyed (this happened when he was a child). As Freeza's henchmen, Vegita was regarded as one of the more powerful soldiers in the galaxy. He always knew that Freeza destroyed planet Vegita and plotted to one day overthrow the vile ruler.
At birth Vegita was calculated to have the highest class as a Saiyan. That perception changed when he met one warrior he could not defeat: Son Goku. As a man with great pride in being the best Saiyan he couldn't accept the fact that Goku, a low class Saiyan, was always one step ahead of him. He always try to best him in combat and this has been his obsession ever since. With his pride and huge ego he is always trying to show that he is the most powerful in the universe.
Vegita is at heart evil, and is the "bad apple" of the Z team. He lacks morals (in the beginning anyway) and can come off as being obnoxious. After some time however, he changes and develops a conscience. Although he would never admit it, he does care about his friends and family. He sometimes reveals that he thrives on his emotions. Even though he shows that he hates Goku with a passion, he really respects him and maybe even likes him... a little. He and Bulma eventually have two children: Trunks and Bra.
TECHNIQUES
Big Bang Attack: Vegita's first technique as a Super Saiyan. Its a huge energy bolt emitted from his palm that is very powerful. Vegita holds out one arm and flatten his palm forward towards the opponent.
Galick-Ho: An imitation to Mutenroshi's Kamehameha. He powers up the energy then releases it with both hands forward.
INTERESTING NOTES ON VEGITA
The name Vegita is a play in the word vegetable.
*In theory, there are 7 Saiyan survivors: Tarus from movie3, Brolli and his father from movie8. Why do I state that there are only four surviving Saiyans? Again in theory movie3 and 8 could have never happened. So, in theory those Saiyans could never exists. Then again you could argue otherwise!

Details: The potara earrings allowed Goku and Vegita to fuse and become a super warrior. In the battle with Majin Buu, Vegito clearly was the stronger one.
The second child of Son Goku and Chi Chi. Goten exhibits great potential when becoming a Super Saiyan at an early age. Goten was trained by Gohan and has a bearing resemblance of his father. He and Trunks become good friends and are always causing trouble between the two of them. Goten is a good natured boy, a little naive perhaps and only gets in trouble because Trunks spites them to. Goten and Trunks can combine and become Gotenks.

Details: Goten was able to reach Super Saiya-jin at an early age. His powers increased nearly 50% because of this.
The first child of Vegita and Bulma. Young (Chibi) Trunks is very different from future (Mira) Trunks. He is a little mischievous, and has a bad attitude much like his father. Although he means well most of the time, he always gets himself and Goten in trouble. Chibi Trunks never reaches his potential because of the fact that he lives in times of peace.

Details: Trunks was also able to reach Super Saiya-jin at an early age. Again because of his age, he is slightly more powerful than Goten.

Details: Goten and Trunks were allowed to train in the room of time for one day (equivalent to a earth year) and increased their power and strength. Based on their fascination with the SS3 form, Goten and Trunks trained to the point where they can imitate Goku at that level. Again this state can only be used for 30 minutes, although it was more effective when it was used at this point.
