Bored yet...? (Self deprication is ok)
8th December Hey whatup. So once again I find myself saying sorry for the lack of updates. We here at SEF have been trying to get www.shockedelevatorfamily.co.uk up and running and although it is up and running all it is is a picture of me holding a painting of a dog. (That dog was given to Ralph as a birthday present, he liked it!) The big news is SEF are playing! Andrew is back in town for christmas and so we're playing a show at the Jug of ale with Edmund and Fear of String. If you had the chance to hear Fear of Strings album they sound kinda like Incubus. If Incubus isnt what you're after then you might just like SEF (Thta's not a burn or anything, it's just that we sound nothing like Incubus.) The show is the 30th of December so the day before you get ready for your new years party feel free to check out the soothing sounds of SEF. It's on Tuesday but as it's in the christmas season wednesday rules will apply. (Pound in pound a pint.) So what have SEF been up to? Well Andrew at university in Manchester. He's learning to play guitar! Let's hope he doesn't get better than me. Being worse than Ralph and David is ok, but being worse than everyone just isnt a good way to be, right? David has a night job at the post office. His previous jobs were more fun. In the last month or so he's worked at a hospital wherehouse and as decorator. He's bought a DVD player with his earnings. Hey, check this out; David stole a prosthetic testicle from the hospital wherehouse and we took it to the Jug of Ale. Our friend Karl put it in his drink. It was fun. LInked to dvd players Ralph has been buying DVD's recently. As for me, oh i don't know, I've been helping blind kids. Thanks for reading this stuff, it makes it all worth while. BRYN
11th January, I've just got back from rehearsal, the studio had flooded and the guy at the desk wasnt wearing a shirt. It was great. After the practice was over I got myself a copy of the Beach Boys Smiley Smile/Wild Honey. When listening to the song wind chimes makes me think of my bedroom and all that's in it, strange as i'm pretty sure there arn't any wind chimes in my bedroom. PARTY! (Why are you doing this to yourself Bryn?) If you're free this Thursday feel free to come and check out SEF playing at the Flapper and Firkin, only 3.00 entry plus you get to see headliners Yello Belly turn up the delay as they headline the show. Opening the night are the winners of Ian Livingstone's pop idle "White Dwarf". Apparently their music is a mix between alt. rock and Gorkamorka (Don't worry if you don't get, it may be an in joke but that doesn't make it funny.) Also I hear they toured with the legendary Eldar back in the day when white metal wasn't used for the figurines.(Another bad, bad joke.) It'll be good to play there again, I hope the toilets are up to their usual standard, I would say they aren't so much toilets as they are STD's (Zing!) Doors open 8.30-Be there or don't. Also thanks to everyone who came to see SEF play at the Jug on the 30th. The show went well I think. I believe it was SEF's sexiest show, We'll put some pictures up soon from that show and others and then you can compare them and judge fr yourself how sexy a night it was. If that show tought us anything it that Red Bull really works and energy chewing gum does not. PARTY! Bryn.
