When I left India at February's end as a newlywed, Shobhana and I figured we would have to endure a short lived separation before we could truly begin our married life together in the States.
Unfortunately, the Visa process has taken much longer than initially expected, and as our six month anniversary came and passed, I was able to secure enough vacation time to visit her (after a day long 14 hour stopover in Singpore), just in time to celebrate Shobhana's first birthday after marriage (September 9th).
This visit also allowed us ample time to have the "honeymoon" time alone that we didn't get in February as we took a relaxing trip together in beautiful Shimla...
