Enlargement of David Vass photographed with an unknown friend. He enjoyed his pipe. It was with pride that he told me about my grandfather and his prowess at school. When Davey was in his 60s he decided he wanted to learn logorithms, and taught himself with the aid of a book provided by my mother.
