The Shoals Music Magazine website has been shut down in preparation for the closing of Yahoo! GeoCities on October 26, 2009.
Years ago I started to write
Stories about the music scene,
Then I took the photographs
And put them both in a magazine
Its blurry print and crooked fold
Were faults I never could correct,
And seeing it through the printer�s press
Made me into a nervous wreck
Paper and ink, they seem to be
Inexpensive things to buy,
But when a thousand copies came
The printer�s bill could make me cry
It never seemed there were enough
Ads to simply make ends meet,
So I closed my magazine
And felt the sorrow of defeat
But that little magazine
Worthless though it may have been,
Gave me good experience
And led to my three closest friends
I might have never met them, though,
I�ve thought with every changing season.
The old clich� must be correct,
Everything happens for a reason.
