Inserting a Hyperlink Into an Excel file.

  1. Select the first company (A3).
  2. Go to the "Insert" menu.
  3. Select "Hyperlink." Alternatively, you could click on the "Insert Hyperlink" button (looks like a globe with a chain link).
  4. In the "Text to Display" box at the top, retype the name of the company you selected.
  5. Click the "Screen Tip" button next to "Text to Display". Type an appropriate message, such as "Go to the eBay Web site!".
  6. Click "OK".
  7. Skip down to where it says "Address". Type the Web site address of the appropriate company. Make sure the entire address shows up (http://www.ebay.com).
  8. Click OK.
  9. Test the link to make sure it works.
  10. Repeat this for all of your companies.
