| Born in India ( Muzzafarnagar U.P ) . Migrated to Pakistan in 1947 as a boy of 11 years . Initially settled in Lahore ,where he completed his schooling . He did his M.A in Statistics from Punjab University. That was Pakistan's first batch of statisticians . Tried his hand at a proper job , but the kind of person he was, more of a free lancer type !! soon found out that job was one thing in life that he couldnt do. So he settled down to become a landlord and for ever afterwards remained a free lancer and managed his own agricultural lands. So my early childhood memories are of those summer trips to our agricultural lands. Those were the days !!!! . Bathing in the canal ( we had a link canal passing through our lands ). That big baithak ( choopal ) at night where all the village would gather , have tea , the gargling sound of huqqa . GOD i miss thaaat !! We ( mother and kids ) stayed in karachi because of the schooling of the children and father would stay on his lands , visiting us every now and then. That was the pattern of life for us. My father died in 1992 . May his soul forver rest in peace. ameen |

| Born in India , 1944 . Migrated to Pakistan in 1947 as a baby girl , just 3 years old. She had just completed her school when she was married to my father. They were first cousins too. After her marriage she lived with us in Karachi. She has done a great job of handling all of us on her own. Schooling , and otherwise , as father was away most of the time , on his agricultural farms. She is now enjoying life with her grandchildren who she absolutely loves and is a very popular figure for all the toddlers in the family. She is also the chief advisor now to all the family for all sorts of family matters. Well she deserves this top spot !! |
| My Ancestors migrated from Iraq to india about 300 years ago . My paternal grandmother had iranian blood , her father was from Tabriz in Iran. We are Syed by caste . Still further down the lineage we are HASHMITE arabs.. |
