Thank you for your interest in my qualifications and experience. As you can see if you click on my resume link I have had the opportunity to work for both non-profit and private organizations. This gives me a well rounded set of valuable skills to bring to your organization.

For five years I worked to gain professional marketing experience in a corporate environment. Over the last ten years I have worked and volunteered for many non-profit organizations and served on several Governing Boards.

I can help you with your event planning needs. I have extensive experience planning events and raising funds for non-profit organizations. My unique ability to gain the support of local business as well as the community ensures events and programs run smoothly.

When it comes to fundraising I know how important it is to have an experienced networker in your group. I have raised thousands of dollars for several organizations and I am also familiar with gaining donations of items from various corporate entities for silent auctions, administrative use and for special projects.

Budgeting is important, especially in the non-profit sector where money tends to be very tight. My most challenging budgeting task was during college while working for a high school. I was able to devise money saving solutions bringing the balance in the account from -$300 to over $1500 in just two years. I have also been responsible for book keeping for an Architectural firm. None of my projects have ever gone over the budget, I am adept at staying well within the amount I have to work with.

I worked to start a theatre program at Nettleton Elementary School in 2005-06. I was responsible for the development and implementation of an innovative and creative program. I also worked as the Annual Talent Show Coordinator for the school which raised funds for their new playground.

I am now living in Minneapolis and working at The City, Inc. as the Associate Director of Administration. I love the organization and this position will help me gain more non-profit administration experience. I hope to become an executive director at some point in my career.
