Talent Analysis
Ballard could become what Jordan Leopold now is. He has a stocky build
and is a smooth skater with great lateral quickness. Ballard has great
offensive instincts and see's time on the second power play unit for the
Gophers. He has a heavy shot but needs to work on hitting the net and
keeping it low. He does a solid job of moving the puck out of the zone
whether it be skating or making the outlet pass. Has adjusted well in
the WCHA. One thing he needs to do is get committed to working hard in
the offseason to continue to develop. |
